Doug: "You missed putting your self on the list!"
Educa: "Yeah, I don't think I'm top player anymore."
Doug: "Thats not how we sell courses in this house! You are number one player in the world none is willing to give you action and you taught baron everything he knows!"
Educa: "Fine fine I'm gonna put my self at 4. place. But not higher than that! This needs to be a balanced bluff!"

won millions of dollars in the last few years, primarily playing on the hardest site, and you think he isn't a top ten player?

You mean to the Upswing Lab? They are different courses. There is a lot of great content in the lab, taught by a variety of instructors.

We have always planned on having a model of

- Simple cheap course for very new players (Postflop Gameplan)

- Subscription based course for players anywhere from being new to the game up to playing around midstakes no limit (Upswing Lab)

- Offer high end courses specialized courses taught by world class players (HUNL, NL Cash, NL Tournaments, Mixed games, etc)

I think there is a ton of value in the lab, especially at the price point and the way the material is taught. Poker training model of "lets sell a monthly subscription with everything in it" and I feel that doesn't really make sense given the variety of courses we want to create.

I think its pretty disrespectful to rate fish2013 and hhecklen so high. Those two barely touched NL at pokerstars in the last year and then you have prot0 and Bit2Easy who are both up like 400-500k in the last year on hsdb playing really tough lineups, both of them are playing a lot of volume as well.

Exactly how can you move past these guys in the power ranking???

it doesn't matter godspeed, those power rankings are made mostly for viewer entertainment and should be taken with a grain of salt, evidently they are all very good players but who cares where people stand in this power ranking

The best players at NL 6-max are playing other games because no limit it's too boring.

Would be nice if some hs names (guessing cindy is most likely but probably doesnt wanna rank) chime in with some discussion

The rankings will be based on who Educa has played against. He has not played much the last year hence the reason why prot0 is not included whereas hhecklen is.

I'm fascinated that both Educa and Sauce were middling players for quite a while until something just clicked and they became beasts at the game. Sauce was pretty much grinding out rakeback starting out - the graph is completely breakeven - and you have Educa who stops grinding for a year before deciding to play again.

Proto.

I thought Zaruba looked good. Maybe not top 10 good and maybe the hunting cant be overlooked?

I thought cindy might have been a mark at first but I'm uncertain now. Maybe deserving of top 10.

Would have expected limitless to be on there as well. I'm not qualified to coment on the nitty gritty though.

A lot of my friends have problems with FTP connection, I have no idea what is the problem.

Doug was like that as well.

One poster thinks the answer is:

Nice intellectual work.

Would be esthetically more pleasing if:

Before each player there was a picture, ranking number; maybe some graphs, and so on.

Also, hard to intuit the correct spelling of some of the names from listening.
As someone who's not super in-tune with the best 6 max regs, I thought the same thing.

Poker is not natural talent nor do they suddenly "click" overnight, the only talent that doug and sauce and everyone else who succeed in poker has is the dedication to grind day in day out and never give up. Put time off the table and just constantly work at getting better.

There is no magic recipe, except bots maybe or you can also cheat a little bit by consuming a load of adderall if you naturally suck at staying focused.

I will confirm that about Doug. In 2012, I got to see how he studied and study with him off the table on his game for a day or two. Just an absolute ridiculous amount of meticulousness over every single spot that could come up.
