Hello, someone on another topic told me about this contest thing so i thought i'd give it a try.

I started playing poker in October 2012, a few months after i turned 18. I played in a pub league system known as the Nuts Poker League (in the UK) and in my first season (Oct-Dec 2012) i came top of 2 venue leagues and top of the regional league. I qualifed for the national final in my first season by finishing second in the champion of champions event, and in the national (my first experience of being in a casino) i didn't fare too well unfortunately, but it was a great experience nevertheless.

Second season (Jan-Apr 2013) i finished top of the regional league again, and one venue league. I have yet to qualify for the national final this time but i hope to do so tomorrow night.

That's live poker done with, now onto online poker..

Well i started playing online around January or so, just playing 4nl as i didn't have a brilliant bankroll to start with (i am only 19 after all lol) but i managed to work my way up to have 50BIs for 10nl, but i had to withdraw some of my winnings to pay for my new car etc, so i'm back to playing 4nl right now.

I have played in a few tournaments, mainly freerolls. My best result to date was winning a 45 player freeroll and a 59 player $1 omaha PL freezout (the very first time i've played omaha) and i have min cashed a few times in the weekly depositors freerolls etc.

Don't really know what else to say, i would like to think i'm naturally gifted to play poker, i absolutely love it and i seem to always play well. It is my dream to become a pro, but obviously i don't have the starting bankroll required to do this, and i doubt i ever will have unless i win a massive freeroll or something lol. So this would be a fantastic opportunity for me

Good luck, I think Lock cashes people out with glitter, unicorn horns and broken promises.

I think this is key -- the known pros all make their living on the min cashes. The big scores are mainly about luck and volume. So keep aiming for the min cashes.

Thanks for the good luck messages everyone. It is 5am here in the UK so i am off to sleep lol, i will catch up with this tomorrow night after the champion of champions event (i need to qualify for the nationals still, wish me luck!!)

And you came to the right place Ryan. Bare with us while the EAD team go through your application. In the meantime think about and explain in detail why you think you would be a better choice compared to other like minded candidates? Do you have any great personal characteristics that would put you above and beyond?

RG01 , please be careful with your follow up letter , I went through phase 1 with the "American Applicant Deal" ,also known as AAD . I did not cut the mustard as i write 8th grade level english . so make sure your grammar is correct and your story compelling.

Well i'm completely 100% motivated to learn more about poker, i have watched every episode of poker available on youtube etc and learned a lot from that, and every day playing live is a learning experience as well. Every time i make a mistake, or lose a big pot or whatever, i go through my play and think about what i did wrong or how i could have played a hand better, i think being young is a good thing for me as it gives me more time than everyone else to become even better. Don't know what else to be honest, i'm a pretty average guy who's dream it is to become a poker pro
