Its eerie though, theres this old thread on 2+2 from like 8 yrs ago discussing dusty’s own prediction that he would die before age 50 (I think he believed it would be from a stroke due to mental stress from years of mass multi-tabling online)
Evidently some shady dr. that was treating him had convinced him of this. Not sure how much the psychological stress he was having was related to his heart issues, but I would think they might be related. He definitely called it long ago that he wasnt going to live to be 50.
Seemed like a super talented guy and a true grinder legend. RIP
To be honest, I would believe that too. If I play two weeks of online poker multitabling 15+ tables, I feel like I have lived 1 year in that same span. The amount of tournaments you go through in that time is unbelievable. How many times do you get crushed? How many times did you win? It's like you've been on a roller coaster for two weeks, but it feels like one year, because so much happened in that period. The emotions/body/mind had a rollercoaster ride for two weeks.
We don't know what this game does to our brain, but the reality is, it's very demanding and I can feel it in my body. Then you add up the lack of sleep from the MTT schedule and VOLA you got something pretty messed up cooking.
