I’m just going to clear one thing up. I’m one of the all time winningest poker pros who ever lived and probably the biggest winning American pro in the United States right now. Anyone who is spreading rumors about me being washed up is so beyond delusional it’s laughable. I’m so good at poker, so successful and so rich it’s beyond what most poker pros could even imagine. I’m probably the winningest active American poker pro in the world right now. I’ve never lost a step. I’m so awesome that anyone interested in being a poker pro should think of me as being like a poker god because I am a poker god. If this were basketball I’m Kobe Bryant. It's not all a joke though, because Dusty definitely believes he's always been underrated and has accomplished a lot more in poker than he's ever been given credit for. Without the Bryant, Watson and Montana bits I would have sworn it was completely sincere.

None of those three would likely be considered the absolute best at their sport (although all would be among the best), and technically all three are washed up now, because Father Time is undefeated.

How sarcastic he is is kind of meh/does not matter, since lots of people are genuinely delusional like that, but perhaps Tom Brady, Lebron James, and Roger Federer would be better used in such a comparative manner (whether genuine or trolling) since those 3 can make a case for being the best ever at their respective sports, and all currently are still at the top of the game.

Without putting much thought into it, it wouldn't be hard for me to believe that he's won more money playing online nlhe ring games across all sites, than anyone else who never played in the FTP nosebleed games.

He might never have had the highest win rate in anything, but he has always been winning in mid/high stakes games, and he's played religiously, grinding tons of hands for what, probably 15ish years now, ...he has to be way up on the list of winners, if not at the top.

The reason he isn't more respected/renowned/liked in the poker community isn't because of what he accomplishes on the tables.

Lots of very successful massgrinders played something like 16/12 back then though. No need to get creative when you can just play 16-24 tables of stack-a-donk poker.

I remember from my own NL100/NL200 FR days back then that the majority of the guys who made a relatively variance-free $10k+/month (including rakeback) played in the neighborhood of 9/7. There was even that one guy who got his >$100k rakeback/year for playing break-even with 6/5 stats.

That said, I highly doubt Dusty made anywhere close to what some of the old nosebleed guys made and there are also a couple super high roller guys who made decent money. You need to grind a lot of mid/high-stakes to get to a $111k one drop win that you have (close to) 100% of and don’t pay taxes for.

In certain age man see his dream train leaving to paradise without him and he has urge to do immediately something. Today is easy to do something immediately, you can post on facebook.

I will give him a boatload of credit for putting in the massive volume that he did, he had work ethic imo.

I was always a fan of his one student MBolt ( maybe it was Mbolt79)....Matt Bolt. I enjoyed his videos back on Deuces Cracked and learned a lot from him back then.

It is funny that this thread even came up today because it was a few days ago, I actually was thinking of Matt and what ever came of him.

Also was thinking the same thing about Alvin Lao aka " Citizenwind " back then I played a lot of Fullring, so I enjoyed his Rush FR videos.

People in today poker climate, who were not active " back in the day " have no idea just how juicy the games were.

Plus you had sites like Bonus Whores and Party Poker was giving up those 100, 150, 250 reload bonuses like every 3 weeks LOL!!! If you were looking to ever build a roll, it was the easiest thing possible imo.

I don't have the patience to play a online at all anymore it totally bores me, can understand how people retire and also remember the feeling of being addicted to playing but the feeling dies.

Played him quite recently on ACR $400 or $600 plo i believe. I was all like, whoh! A GOAT at my table!

play him all the time at those limits on WPN. Def not even close to one of the toughest regs imo, he is incredibly bad at CAP games.
