Since we're talking about the good old days of poker in this thread, I have a story that's hard to beat. I think that the year was 1985.

I was just starting out on PokerStars, playing mostly $1 MTTs and STTs. One day I started playing a 9-player SNG, we played 3 hands and my power went out.

I got online the next day and discovered that I cashed in second place.

Sad that this Leatherass hate thread has flown under my radar for 4 months somehow.

The guy is pretty clearly a terrible human being. Check his Twitter if you want to see some of the most deplorable stuff out there. He is really not a fan of gay or black people. The funny thing is I remember reading his blog back in 2009-10 and he was definitely an Obama supporter back then.

I played a decent clip of hands with him on bookie ran site out of vegas mostly 3/6-5/10 PLO. Guys got some gamble in him!

Seems to be a recurring theme from this thread that Dusty has no idea how to play PLO and consistently punts.

When I played on ACR I had leatherass tagged as a fish and would only hop into 200nl+ if he was playing. I'm sure he was better than me at the time, but he was definitely the weakest reg.

What does that have to do with anything? Played quite a bit of PLO with him, just because he isn't good doesn't mean he isn't a nit.

He was getting well over 100% RB on WPN for a while. He was a pretty bad reg like maybe the worst at nl400-600 when he'd play it? Maybe tilt-a-whirl worse idr. He was still making a ton via RB...like at least $70-80/hr and he would play all day. I lost my DB in a HD crash really curious what his winrate was (back in like 2014-15). Probably played more hands with him than any other person tbh. I'd play plo sometimes to max out my tables sometimes and he was really bad at PLO back then too....but with 100%++ RB was worth it for him to play.

His FB is insufferable...had to unfriend ages ago...and even if it is a "joke" I'm pretty sure he believes it. At same time wouldn't surprise me if he's winningest American player in terms of dollars won at nl100-400 for time period he's talking about after the insane deal he had with WPN before they realized it was cheaper to just allow their site to be full of bots than sponsor pros who would play all day.

Still, after RB he'd have a sick hourly.

Another reason I think what he said about those stakes is likely true is biggest winners at SSNL-MSNL where he has is (in terms of bb/100, hourly, etc.) move up and he is incapable of doing so.

Yeah, he was essentially a prop player. Pretty sure he was friends with Phil Nagy since way back.

Does anyone remember when he did that beast live twitch thing on ACR and would yell racist stuff when he would lose flips? I'm not surprised he's off the deep end.

He made around 5 million before black friday on poker stars and made just as much as nano playing a lot less hands. how many players have done that? Like .0001%. He only grinded like 12 tables while nano grinded 24. He is just a very confident person in his game and it rubs some of you the wrong way it seems. But doesn't make him racist. A feminist probably would not like him. But they would not like me either. Hes done a lot of nice things and I believe he took a homeless person off the streets and bought them a home. I cashed several times like this and would usually come back to 4-6 players

Yeah, you posted that tale earlier in this thread, but claimed it had happened in 1985, which would have been about 16 years before Stars launched and probably 20 years befoe SnGs were invented.

I don't know about the tale, but I know that sng's were around before PokerStars.
