usually issuing pompous challenges like this are accompanied by a fat downswing

I hope you didn't just see what durrrr did to Ivey in the thunderdome..
01-03-2009 , 12:26 AM
ivey, antonius and luzak are most likely to take it up

twice.

But the second time he only bought in for ~$67k, so it may have been his online roll. Not busto by any means, but buying in for ~$67k on his own $100k HU PLO table is not like Ivey, if you watch him play much.

should have also noted the sick job I did reading durrr's response before posting

In like 10 years hopefully durrr isn't kicking himself like "WTF was I thinking I can't believe I made a $1,000,000 prop bet challenge in the worst recession in US history"
01-03-2009 , 01:25 AM
“I’m making this heads-up challenge to the world. Anyone can accept."

What am I missing? Isn't the quote, that Durrrr verified, simply state ANYONE can take the bet and laid out the rules to said bet? What's with eliminating a player and adding stipulations later on?

Seems like the drunk bar guy that yells out "i'll fight anyone in here!" Then a big ass mofo calls him on it and the loud mouth babels stuff about ".. i ain't got a fight with you man..." LoL.

I love Durrrr's guts though.

who?

There is so many more factors than being good at HU when it comes to this bet. I hope somone takes the bet but I don't think its a given.

Who will anwser the bell?

This would be so epic if they got to where there were like 10 hands left and they were even.

Obviously it's super unlikely, and if it did happen I'm sure they would cut some kind of deal rather then play it out. But if they did play 10 hands for 2 million dollars it would be the coolest thing ever.

Stak

CTS/durrrrr all the railbirds would go wilddddd......
01-03-2009 , 01:42 AM
Has Ivey ever played 4 hu tables? I guess PA has?
01-03-2009 , 01:46 AM
if they got to that it would be so +EV for the other guy to openshove really wide

Why post of the year?
Admittedly I don't know much about HU, but I do know that stevesbets won the FT $25k HU.

Well, it´s very very (...) unlikely that 10 hands before the end no player is far enough ahead that he can just fold his last 10 blinds to secure his win.

1) 200-400min (nl/plo obv)
2) can change tables anytime eff stacks are >250bb
3) have to reload when stacks are <75bb
4) $$ won in the challenge is kept obv (if i win 750k in poker, i get that PLUS your 500k- if i lose 750k in poker you get 2.25m total).
5) same stakes the whole time
6) not open to phil galfond

hmm probly some other stuff but im out of it b/c i jus got owned @ some scrabble. I was gonna think up official 'terms' and post em or something, but thought i had another week or two b4 it became public.
