Donk Dwan was just as much of a joke back then as he is now.

No legit player respects his game.

I think on 2p2 there's 3 levels of cluelessness:

1) Hellmuth fans - stuck in 2004 before it was clear how terrible everybody was

2) Negreanu fans - stuck in 2008 before it was clear how terrible the live pros were

3) Dwan fans - stuck in 2010 before it was clear how terrible the red pros were

Why is everyone under the impression that Dwan HAS TO pay Jungleman? It wasn't like he stole any money. They had a deal, which wasn't official with any paperwork or nothing, and Dwan backed out, presumably because he's broke.

Tough luck for Jungleman but he has no official case. All he can do is tarnish Dwan's 'reputation', which I highly doubt he gives a crap about at this very moment.

Gentleman's agreement or Gamblers Code my ass.

Dwan owes absolutely nothing.

Please share your thoughts on this topic with anyone you are about to have financial dealings with so they can get a feel for just how how little they should trust you, especially if things do not go your way.

Unfortunate for Jungle that he did not get the terms of this Challenge in writing nor require both sides to pay their respective amounts into a lawyer's Trust account.

In short, no judge would order specific performance of this bet and no one outside of a Triad enforcer is going to make Dwan pay. Move on.
