When i first watched this I thought I kind of liked how they contrasted Dusty, and the degen. But the more I think about it, this documentary puts poker into a very bad light. The kid saying "I'm walking across America because poker ruined my life."

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Poker didn't ruin your ****ing life, you ruined your life and your not big enough of a man to take responsibility. Now your going around to preach about how destructive poker is, because that makes you feel better about yourself.

I really hope this documentary doesn't go any further then it already has.

QFT Guns are bad, poker is bad, liquor is bad, food is bad, Tylenol is bad, tv is bad, exercise is bad, work is bad..... In moderation, none of these things are bad. People who abuse them or become addicted to them are bad. I guess being responsible for yourself and your own actions is out the window now days.

That all being said, the video was good and if this type of documentary is going to exist, at least we get to see both sides, not just the degenerates.

That's an irresponsible narrative (director), irresponsible person, and an irresponsible leatherass. The goal of a documentary is to inform people, generally. Using that format to push out biased viewpoints is a common occurrence, and it seems to get a good response, but it doesn't make for a good documentary.

Without a discussion of rake, and how the game is not zero sum when u factor in rake...this documentary is very misleading.

Another middle class American who can't handle the pressure and temptation of being an adult in what is likely one of the easiest countries to be an adult in.

Now his only recourse to failing at an easy life is to throw himself being some silly cause in an attempt to justify his existence as some sort of noble martyr. He even fails at picking a cause to dedicate himself to. His life would have so much more worth if instead of walking 4000 miles against online poker, he volunteered in a soup kitchen, or an orphanage or even picked trash up off the side of the road

You chose the most uncharismatic poker pro ever and a man who lost $1000 playing poker. I think it was nicely written/directed but awful choice of interviewees.

I just read a bunch of this guys blog...seems to me he is/was just a lost soul looking for a cause....the poker "addiction" was secondary

I also agree that the documentary is a bit misleading but hopefully the full length one will be better
