I'm sure you don't want to reveal what possible shady stuff could go on but I'm failing to see what could happen if he plays you on webcam, says 'i gotta go', but continues playing. Or am i missing something?

Yeah it was sort of weird, but what are you going to do. Part of playing high stakes is knowing that there is always a chance you are playing someone that isn't who it is supposed to be. I actually think it should be allowed as there is no way to enforce the rule.

Location probably was showing UK which might make one believe he was still in the UK. This was the case only up until a few months ago until it actually updated back to Sweden.

Yes, I probably should have had a lawyer send Mason a letter asking to cease and desist or I would take legal action. Stealthmunk was obviously broke, and there was no point in threatening litigation against him. The whole thing was so weird, I didn't think through the best response.

2 + 2 should just obey the libel law though. I shouldn't have to sue. If you were really concerned about exposing scammers, you wouldn't make a joke and a circus about libelous accusations.

I had the highest stats of anyone in 2 games in 2011 before BF and none of my students came forward to say anything bad about me after all of Stealthmunk's libel. So obviously, I did not intend to scam anyone.

The mods created a “Betgo Coaching” thread in Coaching Advice to give more prominence to the libel and imply 2+2 agreed with it. Stealthmunk was also allowed to make dozens of libelous posts in an About the Forums thread I made asking to end the attacks. I could go on and on about how it was handled.

This recent discussion led me to discover a whole group of fun threads on the topic - only because betgo is still keeping it alive. Apparently he's been constantly beating this drum for years!

After some enjoyable reading, I'm ready to give my executive summary: Nobody enjoys being criticized, and betgo seems like a nice enough guy who really believes that he's been wronged. But the realty is that stealthmunk won this debate decisively on the merits, on every thread where it popped up, everywhere, again and again.

The best thing for betgo would be to simply let it die. Really, this is what everyone is trying to tell you.

don't give him advice, he won't take it. just make fun of him, like he deserves.

you know what your problem is doug? You're a good and intelligent person.

You will always be the victim and people will always try to ghost or scam you because you are always on top. It's not a flaw but just the way life works.

People will always think your complaining etc but they fail to realize what life at the top is. Broke losers never will see your side of life.

I'm sorry chip&aprayer, but there were so many, and I was jumping around from thread to thread. In fact, I'll have to go back someday and find more - no way did I find everything!

Here's the way I started: search for threads containing posts by betgo in the ATF and Coaching forums. In the first page of each thread, you'll find posts with a list of links to many other threads. Before you know it, you'll be meandering through a 5+ year forest of this stuff.

This is a quote from 2+2's advertising manager from the Stealthmunk Antics at Foxwoods thread. My concern is that 2+2 is trying to become like the Jerry Springer Show, looking for controversy to create traffic for the site. 2+2 is not interested in exposing scammers, but only in creating circuses to get traffic.

If you are interested in the Stealmunk libel, the main “Betgo Coaching” thread in Coaching Advice was mostly blown away about 2 weeks ago, apparently because 2+2 was understandably embarrassed about it.

I made a mistake posting in this thread and I will try to avoid getting into any further discussions about that BS.
