Wobbly_au accused wcgrider. I think a few people beleived it at the time because it was somewhat odd that a reg went from being mediocre at 6max to crushing hu in a short time frame.

Yeah Black Friday happened, but its always AI, bots, rake increases, etc that get the heat.

I remember watching Doug stream highstakes PLO. Villain was getting the better of him to the point it was obvious he was over matched. The Fees sat down, the microphone went off, & lo & behold , he turned the ship around.

I remember thinking "how the **** is this legal". If the guy wasnt watching the stream he'd have no idea how much the deck was stacked/ who he was really playing against.

Why would anyone want to play remotely high stakes in a situation where you're very likely up against 2,3,4 people?

I'm not singling Doug out for this - I'm sure most everybody who got the near the top is at it
Well there you go.

No lie detector needed.

Doug is a confirmed cheater.

Let’s see what he has to say about this.

Considering there is no "One player per hand" rule on the internet then cheating has not occured. As long as the account holder is the one clicking the buttons any number of people can help you play the hand. Doug Polk should be chastised for a lot of things I'm sure, such as cyber-squatting on RunItOncePoker dot com and claiming it was an lol parody while running a competing business. Give him crap about that guys. But cheating? Not likely.

It's confirmed when there's video evidence of that happening, not some random story.

Story's hard to believe considering Doug had this thread back then and people would've slammed him for days, weeks, and years for doing such a thing on stream.

tbc, I'm not calling de_man a liar. I simply think he's remembering things incorrectly as Doug often turned the mic off and quickly back on when talking about personal things or when people walked into his space (ie: sat down next to him).

This was about 2yrs ago, but I'm not remembering incorrectly, I'm afraid. I got timed out in chat for questioning the ethics of what was going on.

Doug was 100% still the one operating the mouse & 'playing'. But the fact remains; he was getting schooled at something like 2k or 5k HUPLO (chat went into subscriber only mode because of how much he was getting flamed, & DP said he wouldn't stream high stakes anymore if this carried on). Then Fees sat down, the microphone went on mute for sustained periods when they were *very obviously* discussing spots/hands, & gradually he started getting the better of villain.

I'm a fan of Dougs. His streams were damn entertaining & informative for a fish like me. He won about 400k(?) on stream with no help from anybody. I'm sure this practice has been done multiple times by multiple others. But if he's willing to do that on stream, then its no great leap to suggest similar is going on when nobody's watching. Come on now.

I felt the same way when I first saw nanonoko vids with him using a HUD. I thought he was cheating but then learned that HUDs are actually allowed. Poker sucks.

It's been a while. But one of my favorite live hands ever was in an Omaha hi/lo spit in the ocean game at a twoplustwo party at 4 in the morning when I kept jamming and you eventually folded the second nuts so I at least got a quarter of the pot. Dominic who kept pumping the pot with the nuts scored the 3/4.

That was a helluva a good time! Me, you, Dom, some cool Dutch dude, twoplustwoer Grasshopper, Lee Antiques and his girl (who built stacks but left early), and some stereotypical Liverpool (or somewhere in England) dude who knew nothing about twoplustwo but was totally drunk and wanted to add some new games to the table.

A great poker night. It was at the Southpoint where they debuted the movie Bet Raise Fold featuring dmoongirl (Danielle Andersen) and our very own one time mod Tony Dunst (Bond18).

Anyhow my big shout out goes to JDalla who could of kicked our asses but just came out for some home game fun!

And whatever you do, don't let me ghost you.

Many would finish your post with HUDs suck not poker.

Ghosting is unethical period. Just because it’s not ban doesn’t mean it’s not unethical.

Amazon pays 0$ federal taxes, it’s legal but unethical imo.
Doug pretending he’s a saint is laughable.
Shouldn’t be throwing stones if you have ghosts lol
Let me quote Tupac, Only God can judge me

He's addressed both of these individually on his channel. Saying you can't call out others for their mistakes because you're not perfect is misguided to say the absolute least.

It’s not like he calls them out, he laughs and patronize them.

A lot of it is for entertainment purposes. It's not like he's taking to twitter and making serious ****. He's trying to get and retain viewers on a YT channel. As (I think) he's said, if people didn't give him such great material, he wouldn't use it.

It’s entertaining to some but not the people he’s making fun of. You don’t have to put someone down to be funny. It’s not like he does it once or twice. He constantly makes recycled jokes.
Like increase rake, go make your own poker site with lower rake. What’s the point of complaining, do something about it.

Haha I sort of remember this. Those crazy 2p2 party mix games were my intro to mixed games in general. Good times.

Entertaining to a lot more than some. Biggest poker channel on YT.

Also brilliant idea, Doug should move out of the states to make an online poker site in 2019. Easy $, just ask Galfond.

Yeah then don’t complain about rake then if it was easy to run a site. Everyone would do it.

Entertaining to a lot more than some doesn’t mean it’s right to put people down.

I like Doug he seems like a good guy but he does have flaws too. I watch his vids.
