56s, 67s, T7s, JTs, QTs. 35s if Kanu 3! that. still seems like a super weird call

How did my thread turn into an OTB vs Kanu HH debate.

Lesson learned, don't so much time off.

Great episode.

Regarding GPL, it doesn't have to be nosebleed stakes to be interesting to watch. The Partypoker/Poker Den 48 hour cash game was 25/50 and it was up there with HSP and PAD IMO, the players would get 500bb+ deep and run big bluffs and hero calls. I think it actually made it more fun as players were willing to lose a few buyins and have fun at the table instead of it being very serious and players concerned about losing 100k+.

If the GPL players had to put up $2.5k or $5k of their own money for a HU SNG I would watch.

Doug not being able to beat the micros is blowing my mind. makes me think all top guys are just aided by software especially after the ben thing.

He's playing on a site the averages like 170 players at a time(might even be less don't care to look). Judging anything off that is completely useless. Throw in the fact that he is so rich he doesn't know what to do, and you can see why maybe he isn't putting 100% into this.

It's also pretty tough for him to play micro cash since the rake is so high and he is going to be swarmed with players from much higher limits trying to play him/ruin his challenge. Even if you're Doug Polk you're not going to beat the rake at those limits grinding against a bunch of good players, avg people don't have that dynamic to worry about.

I won probably 100 buyins so far the challenge, I won lower and lost higher.

I am also up $42 after a month when I started with a $100 br. How is a 42% bankroll increase in a month unable to beat the games.

On the latest EPT podcast Stapes referred to Dreyfus as 'The cheque's in the mail' Dreyfus.
I wonder if that means Stapes hasn't been paid for his GPL work..

Starting bankroll = $100
Current bankroll = $144

44% return = not able to beat games confirmed.

i havent been following i guess but it just seems like a month of grinding at the micros should have a better return for the best in teh world. i can double a hundo at the micros in a weekend and im but a humble peasant.
