Great point, I think we speak for everyone when we say

Doug, stop trying and putting up great production value on free youtube vids, you loser tryhard!

So are we just gonna ignore Doug's tendency to blatantly go after every poker player under the sun. Yes, a bit of a hyperbole, but c'mon.

How can we take Doug seriously when his shtick is just to take shots at other pros. Oh, but Doug's doing the noble thing by looking out for Poker player's best interest at hand (no pun intended)

Just off the top of my head, this is a small sample of some of the players he's lamabasted.

- Vanessa Selbst
- Tom Dwan
- Jason Mercier
- Phil Hellmuth (Deserves it!)
- Ben Tollerene
- DNegs
- Alec Torreli
- Matt Berkey
- Luke Shwartz

What's deplorable is how Doug uses these beefs to profit off of thereby lining his golden pockets. Creating shirts like "more rake is better" or "bad reg" Creating photoshop pictures of poker players and hanging them up in his office. Erecting signs to discredit one of the faces of poker is petty. What Doug is doing is tacky and unprofessional and encouraging this boorish behavior is pathetic.

Doug's flip flopping like a fish outta water and hard. He wants to be a poker announcer then crypto spokesman and now a stand-up comic. All the while Doug's passion for the game of poker is gone. Plays once in a blue moon and people take Doug's word as gospel when it comes to poker. No way jose! Not buying it.

Finally, can't end this without exposing Doug for who he is. Accusing another poker pro of cheating. Sorel is a solid poker player. More barbs, par for the course. Sad.

Some one close to Doug really needs to sit down and talk to him about his antics. ChicagoJoey? Shame a lot of people are drinking the Doug Polk kool-aid and there ain't nothing cool with what this guy is doing to promote himself.

It's also funny, and Doug's a comedian at this point, and has been ever since he entered the stream and youtube game, in poker crypto and now news just takes on different topics,
And comedians do and SHOULD get away with a lot, and he's very upfront about doing a lot of stuff for attention, videos to get views just like comedians do

I think out of that list just the issue with Ben Ben Tollerene were always approached with Tongue-in-Cheek over the top approach, where you're never meant to take everything Doug says seriously in the first place, and you can paint the picture yourself

If your speciality is satire, which Doug's clearly is, the the idea is to go after a lot of people.

Satire definition: the use of humour, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

And by the way, basting a lama is cruel.

Dane cooking your content is never a bad marketing play.

Id much rather hear him speak completely unfiltered about Things going on in poker but that’ll never happen with his public reputation at stake.

The #1 fraud indicator is an incessant protection of one's own identity and ego. Doug largely seems to go out of his way to do the opposite, while also using creative ways to troll people who come across as egoists and charlatans. He's not doubt working with talented people but as far as poker content goes on and off the table it's hard to think of many people doing a better job.

I think it's posted in it's entirety on the Tone Vays channel, but the embed isn't working. It should be accessible through the Twitter link below?

Oh yeah that's the one
Tone's such a damn donk when it comes to posting videos, you guys'd probably all miss Doug being a guest
no thumbnail and Doug's name in brackets so far off it's not even shown in the video

I think you guys are taking some of this stuff a bit too seriously, I am not trying to become a world class (or even somewhat decent) standup comedian at this point in my life. I am just trying things out and hoping to develop some of my abilities.

Same with the new channel, this is just stuff I want to try and see what happens. I am not afraid to fail at things, the more important aspect for me is to see what I enjoy doing and develop skillsets that will help me in my life.

Also, Star wars video was weird imo. I was trying to hop on the current trend of search volume on the topic, at least at this point on the new channel expect to see a super wide variety of strategies/videos until I carve out more of a specific space.

Have a comedy video lined up today for that channel that I think is going to come out great (we will see though....)

What's worse than an 8 minute commercial? A 12:48 minute video.

.
Just a suggestion, do a google search for "Sorel Mizzi cheat". Then you can choose which of the numerous instances of his proven cheating support your view "Sorel is a solid poker player".

I wonder if having a comedy double act could be a good idea, lots of great comics worked best interacting with another comic rather than being a single act - Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis, Morecombe and Wise, Bill and Hilary - could you do some sketches with others?

Hm I don't know Doug, in crypto and poker you were unique, but do we need another general youtuber commenting on youtubers and the environment of youtube?

The space isn't big enough I feel like general news is that you started with
And it'll take years for you to catch up to Pewdiepie who does this as one of his main shticks nowadays, and there's a bunch of others that do the "meta" comments on the state of youtube etc. like H3H3.

EDIT: I auto like your videos and find them great because I'm a male between 25-34 years and your comedy speaks to me, just doesn't feel like this is the way to grow
