I think that there is value if u buy this coin immediately after the release of the video, wait some hours/days up to the time when the video reaches 100/150k views and the sell it. But what about if Doug write here or tell some people that he will make a video about certain coin, and they bought it and sell it after the video. Like idk how much % of the total volume of the last 24h could be bought/sell without any big negative swings.

Just wondering if there is a value if I see some new youtube video about relatively new coin and buy/sell it within some hours or 1-2 days of the release of the video?
In general I think hunting for "pumps" like this is a fool's errand. As noted in previous videos, that's the sort of attitude that people look to exploit. The pump groups on discord/telegram are especially predatory, and you can get burned pretty badly trying to catch waves.

You can probably make more money just buying into legit projects with real potential and holding. A lot of the stuff in Doug's portfolio was acquired in presales or whatever and aren't available on popular exchanges. So there's not going to be any huge boosts when he talks about them. I'm surprised LUX moved as much as it did.

According to this, LUXCoin's marketcap is $31.5M and its daily volume is $2.9M. Are those numbers small enough so that 100-150k YouTube views is actually enough to significantly affect the price?

$31.5M/125,000 = $252, and $2.9M/125,000 = ~$23, so the answer to your question is yes.

Clearly only a small % of viewers would have actually bought on the back of the video as either a pump and dump or a hold but $31.5M is a really small cap.

I dare say it might only take a small handful of investors to buy $50K to $100K's worth of $LUX each on one day to cause a spike, so hundreds or low thousands of people (Doug Crypto viewers) buying little bits each would have a similar effect IMO.

Thoughts on who this is? Presumably not Otb, Educa, LLinus as they would be much more than just 'top 10'...

Unless it's a sick angle and it's by himself.

Looks like it is educa which would make a lot of sense since he's barely put in any volume in the last couple months. Doubt he's top 5.

Also cloud mining contracts. I struggle to believe they're any different.

Does Educa play anymore?
What does the top 10 for NL look like?

Here's the best I can come up with:

LLinusLLove
OtB_RedBaron
prot0
Limitless
Trueteller
OhHeyCindy

^^^ Isildur1 still the best NLHU player in the world??

hmmmm one of the current top 10 cash game players in the world? how do we determine that metric? if you try and pass off the 12th best cash game player as top 10 we gonna be pissed DKP!

do you measure money won to determine whos the best? because then a guy like Bilzerian should be #1 cash game player maybe not currently, but at one point he was right??

so you would say the best cash game player was a Chinese microstakes grinder making the most bb/100 across all stakes???

I'm going to guess the new coach is Jungle. He's always been relaxed about discussing strategy and is friendly with Doug, so could have been persuaded to get involved.

Yup, it's either Dan Bilzerian or a Chinese microstakes grinder. You're absolutely right, one of those two possibilities and literally nobody else.

How is Jungle going to teach anyone? He's an autistic savant with poker synesthesia. Dude can smell people's bluff. What's he going to do? Tell someone to call when they smell burnt toast? That's the kind of poker coaching we need....

"Why did you bet this flop JM?"

*video starts*

DOUG POLK: What's up guys? Welcome to another new Upswing module. I'm here in the lab with Jungle.

*Doug looks to Jungle and Jungle averts eyes*

DOUG: We've got a really great session for you I think you're going to enjoy. Jungle's going to walk us through some pre-flop strategy.

*Jungle mumbles something unintelligible for twenty minutes*

DOUG: Can you summarize that, Jungle?

JUNGLE: *quiet mumbling* I can smell sims.

Totally agree with the sentiment of calling out and rekking industry scammers like bitconnect. Including the youtube channels who clearly didn't do their due diligence on the business model. Much like, say a young Tom Dwan who didn't do his homework on Full Tilt when they didn't ring fence player funds and went under. We have loads of experience of this in the poker community with all the scams that we witnessed and hindsight lessons.

The part that I think "dude c'mon" at; is a successful 30+ man with a tonne of life experience in internet memes, bbv trolling, vanessa selbsting, GTO life decisions, climbing the hu tree... calling out kids between the age of say 18-22.... who have worked hard to build up an audience that Doug is targeting. ie commentating on DataDash's apology vid was wayyy out of line imo... the kids 19 years old for example. Do you guys remember what kind of mistakes the likes of us were making at 19? pissbottles, showing results in hand histories, folding 70% of hands on the button, reading phil helmuth poker books

Crypto right now for these kids is what poker was for some of us back in 2002... its a beautiful thing man. Don't troll these kids, please don't phill helmuth them. Others will imitate you cause you will do it soo well, is that the mark you wanna make on cryptotube? pls say no.

They are going to have enough **** to deal with, like exchanges stealing their money, watching 100K gains retract 73%, having payment processing issues when they want to withdraw $400K, explaining to parents why they wanna quit college, running from the taxman and having lambos repo'd.

Pls give this some thought, if you see a kid tripping, reach out to them first, then burn them afterwards if they continue to be a scummy influencer.

Peace

pissbottle is GTO.

i dont think Doug has come down hard or said anything disparaging about these people except that they have profited off millions from a legit PONZI SCHEME. they aint giving the money back because they dont have all of it. they couldn't realistically repay what they profited if they wanted to in any timely manner.

The difference is these "kids" are trying to get regular clueless people to invest money in BS while pretending to be experts. That's not ok, no matter what your age is.
