He found out its a lot harder than he initially thought it would be. Most likely has the challenge on the backburner because the time it will take to complete this might take years. As we all know Douglas, he's a busy bee with all of his new ventures and poker appearances.

I know first hand how difficult microstakes has become. I knew this challenge wouldn't be the cakewalk Doug thought and now its coming back to bite him in the butt. Laid 10-1 odds that Doug would fail this challenge and the offer still stands. Doug's ego aside, I think he's better off just focusing on his bitcoin gig.

He was streaming a bunch lately no?
And yeah Doug craps on BRM and runs like **** lately what do you expect
He'd actually be further ahead if he played lower stakes and his stream wouldn't mind one bit
But he's just greedy wanting to win fast who hasn't been there before who every tried one of these tell me

I was thinking the exact same thing. I saw him playing 25nl- with $100 starting that's definitely bad BRM.

I would actually prefer watching him at stakes even lower than 25nl

The internet is crypto crazy right now - there's a huge gap in the market for Doug-style YT videos

His crypto channel will definitely blow up. So much room for growth in that area.

Put it this way, his Crypto videos are getting as many views as his Poker videos on a channel with 90% fewer subscribers.

People wanna learn about Crypto and Doug is very good at breaking complex topics down into easy to understand and humorous short video.

His Crypto channel will have more subs than his Poker channel by March imo.

Appreciate the feedback man. I did a stream on facebook live where I talk about this stuff if you want to hear more about it from me.

Basically, my plan for next year is to make both types of videos. Probably a bit more on crypto if it keeps ramping up as I think there is more opportunity. I will be playing and streaming way less poker, but the channel Ive built for poker is still something I want to grow.

This is flexible and I might audible at any point. If crypto crashes and people lose interest maybe ill just do poker. If crypto gets 10x what it is right now by Feb maybe ill go all in on crypto. I just want to do whats best to build my brand, which means being flexible on content type and being willing to call audibles.

I do appreciate all the people that have joined the poker journey, and I understand if they dont like crypto stuff. But I cant base what I do in my life around what certain people feel like I should be doing. That doesnt mean I dont understand where you are coming from, if you dont like crypto it does suck im making vids there. But there isnt a good way around that because its the best play to stay versatile and look to capitilize on current trends.

Quite possible, but the half-life on interest in crypto will be much shorter than poker (once the speculative phase passes), so I suspect subs on his crypto channel will eventually be just ghost subs that don't watch anymore. That will be easy to determine by looking at the views:subs ratio over time.

Well the good news is that if crypto crashes then there will be a ton of interest for your building a bankroll challenge.

this, as much as making content is fun for Doug, it is a business as well. it makes so much more sense to start a crypto based channel, all you have to do is search google trends for bitcoin and you can see the explosion of interest (i believe someone randomly tweeted something to the effect of "I bought 100000 coins in 2011 for $1 a pop, retweet for a chance for a give away of 1 btc" and although it was an obvious scam for retweets, it got close to a million retweets).

it would be foolish for Doug to ignore this market opportunity, seeing as he's already got a fan base that's probably more interested in crypto than the average public, and that long term this will probably be a more sustainable business venture from a content point of view (in my opinion).

If Doug is trying to be a content creator as a way of escaping poker then the crypto avenue has been his best idea, think he does well there, i see him doing no more poker videos in like 5-6months from now.

yeah crypto is going to be the future. right now its like Netflix in 2000. they didn't call it DVDs by mail for a reason! quite a bit of room for crypto to blow up imo. does anyone really think that the future of online commerce will see less use of cryptocurrencies?? i don't think that's the direction we are headed.

good luck on the crypto vids Dan, keep em coming!
