Liked the video about "which countries are the best at poker".

Why haven't you made a music video yet?

I'd rather have a total freaking nit at my table than a good aggressive online crusher

there was no judgement from me about what's good or bad to have at your table or anyone's table..

I don't judge people or things.

I simply stated a fact... Matt Glantz is a total nit.

but you said he should not be allowed to play anywhere, at anytime for any reason, I disagree with that because of my previous reason

Oh I see, my bad.

Given that its clearly provable that Matt Glantz is in fact a Super Nit, I thought some punishment should be in order. Him not being able to play was his punishment .

Alternatively, maybe his punishment for being such a Nit is he has to spend a weekend with Justin Bonomo, alone on an island so they can talk about the world and current events and stuff.

but maybe I'm overthinking it , dunno

I look forward to all of Doug's videos. I'm proud the guy posted here for a long time. He's a 2+2 godfather to me. Up Doug, Down Berkey.

Doug, do you feel bad for not providing at least 1mm sitting around so everybody could play comfortably? If not, did you do that on purpose fearing Berkey in a 300bb live game?

What a load of nonsense.

You both caught that, too. I didn't bring it up in the recap I published b/c I appreciate both Matt & Doug relaying their thoughts on the high stakes TV poker games but yeah, I see what you're saying.

Matt Berkey comes off well in a lot of what I've watched from his convos on Joey's podcast (imo), but I don't believe he takes into consideration all that Doug does in making the shows entertaining, spreading the word, introducing fans to the game, working with the presenters, informing the community, etc.

Just don't commit to showing up in the first place if you're going to expect the host to bring $1 million so you and other players can be comfortably rolled (or don't underestimate social media personalities' ability in smaller warm-up games).

Berkey committed to being there, backed out on the same day and left the "killers" (aka better players?) holding the bag. Doug criticized him for it, and Matt's "solution" is for Doug to not only be responsible for his own presence/promotion/outreach/buy-in but to also act as a bank. Oh, and obviously have a lineup of 25 people ready to play $25/$50 in case Matt or others decide they're going to no-show hours before the stream is scheduled to start.

If I were to Solve For Why Matt didn't make his scheduled appearance, the answer would be because he decided he didn't want to... and that's on him, not Doug imo. I still like Matt, and think he's great for the game and TV poker... just wish he'd take the full responsibility for his decision instead of passing off a large portion of the blame to Doug.

There has been no faking drama to get views though. This is world of poker, not the world of reality TV.

He's totally fearless value betting big on the river and thin value betting too. Many other players are nowhere near as in tune with when to value bet.

IMO he's in the top 5 players in the world on the river.
You realize that getting called by AK suggests that the bluff was probably working less than 50% right?

Yes of course, in that particular spot. The 50% number relates to over a big sample of river situations.

He is really deadly on the river which is a big factor in why he's done so well in tournaments IMO.

Yes in tournaments pre-flop play is very important, more so deeper into the comp when stacks can get quite shallow, and I don't think pre-flop in a 6 handed+ game is necessarily his forte, but being fearless, aggressive and deadly on the river is a massive weapon in tournaments.
