The most sickening aspect of this major media takeover is the unhinged egotistical nature of the first branding decision. Renaming the site pokernews to poLkernews is equivalent to Wladmir Putin renaming Ukraine to Putraine had Putin not gotten his A$$ kicked by the Ukrainians.

Telling him that does not seem to have helped him understand that that is what is happening. If you check out his military strategy thread he started that will help explain why.

Can't figure out if trolling or nothing going on between the ears
Thanks for providing everyone the link. Now, I won't look so stupid. Greatly appreciated.
Anyway, the likely steps that Doug Polk has decided to take in his sudden and unannounced invasion of poker media is clear:
Phase 1. Take over pokernews and rename it poLkernews.
Phase 2. Before the end of the year, take over cardplayer and possibly rename it polkplayer or cardpolker, or maybe, he'll just keep the name. "If it ain't broke, don't fist it."
Phase 3. In mid-2023, take over twoplustwo and rename it twoPolktwo. Problem: Anti-Trust issues.
Phase 4. Buyout the iconic Go Gamble brand of poker fashion (hats, t-shirts, hoodies, coffee, lolipops, etc.) and let Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen be its fashion models.
Hard to foresee what phase 5 could be but a new world order is definitely at hand.
I dosed off around 11 p.m. yesterday than woke up a few minutes after 12 midnight. I checked for tournament results on pokernews and there was no evidence of Doug Polk. It wasn't even named poLkernews anymore. Strange.
Doug Polk actually buying PokerNews as a matter of fact - but under the cover of April Fools - was a very sneaky stealth move. Great Sun Tzu-like reverse psychology with excellent execution.
