And if you think I'm a fanboy, you should look earlier in this thread at me calling Doug out. Not everyone thinks he needs to have his head chopped off for this as you do. And let's be honest, you were already a Doug hater from the tournament structure, to operating in the first place, and whatever else before that that lets you rage because you're bored or jealous or whatever it is.
What the hell are you talking about? I'm a Doug hater because of a tournament structure? Are you kidding? I gave my opinion on it as did others and moved on. A structure in 1 of his tournaments is the last thing that would make me a "Doug Hater" dude.

This on the other hand, Doug shamelessly promoting this scam, touting 20% returns which is utter bull and inviting the CoinFlex crew to his cardroom to continue to promote it? And then to see him take no responsibility and act like he did nothing wrong when if it was anybody else he would be having podcasts calling the person(s) out?

Uh yeah that kind of rubs me the wrong way. Sorry it doesn't bother you any. I'm sure the guy who lost 20k(just 1 example out of many I'm sure) doesn't agree with you absolving Doug either.

Except Doug pretty much built his entire brand on chopping other peoples heads for far lesser transgressions.

Tom Dwan not finishing a challenge 10 years ago - Full blown psychopath!
Jnandez not paying for scarves - Is this guy the new Hitler?
Dnegs parking in handicap spot - At what point do we say enough and purge this infidel from poker?

When it comes to evaluating the Crypto space you mean - I am sure Doug himself is well aware of this. Don't see how this impacts his competence as far as the poker world and matters are concerned?

And all of those people are fine

All Doug has to do is fire at himself too, commission a Joey investigation and Sirius parody song, I am not sure if he can due to legal matters and the "too soon" factor as they say in comedy.

Indeed. He set the bar pretty high himself.

All in all he does not really seem to have any hidden character traits or something. He's not Emperor Palpatine. He's just an intelligent, talented, opportunistic goofball.

Nothing wrong with that, and it doesnt mean people can't grow in the future, and choose their 'entrepreneurship' better in the future. Or become a bit more modest, now they realize they are a bit less smart then they thought.

But this conclusion can of course cause heavy emotions when people lose a lot of money. That's also part of the deal.

A good start would have been an Apology of course! Doing some penance, thinking about what happend. Not his answers posted in this topic, which where awful at best.

The main thing I want is Doug to start being kinder to others. But he hasn't shown any signs of heading in that direction. Even now he's still publicly bullying people...

Just watched his YouTube reaction video in full. He actually seems to think he can step away from this scotch-free.

That alone is worthy of correction, no doubt.

Where's his mother ? ;-)

At the time of parking it was a roped off area not a handicap space. Doug always knew this fact !

It was an excellent Freudian slip.

Doug Polk's favourite drink is Scotch.

Not a native speaker. I was not sure. I suppose it's Scott-free?

Damn auto-correct didn't correct me. Surely this is what Polk feels like with the Coin flex Crypto Shill scam debacle.

I will give a good example: no excuses, I failed.

As of now, flexUSD is down to an equal all time low of $0.26 on the grey market.

It seems based on his tweets Doug can't accept fact that he fell for an obvious scam and shilled it to his audience. I guess he refuses to be wrong. Total Narcissist donk.

Yeah, the tweets are pretty bad. He just doesn't get it. All he should be saying is "I'm Sorry", and people will eventually forget about it. In the future, he should stick to poker and consider this 'trip around the block' to be a learning experience that helps him recognize what he has built in POKER. Joey appears to be having this same issue.

While in Vegas, he should be networking to find an actual Poker sponsor.

100%

Just imagine him posting a video straight away: "SH*T, I got screwed and let down so many people who look up to me. How can I make this up / or be constructive about it?"

Instead he's doing the whole "Wasn't my fault!"-crap. And maybe even an implied: "It's actually yours."

Perhaps he should hire a professional communication bureau next...

Problem with poker is the game sucks. Most boring game on the planet. Finance is way more fascinating, challenging, engaging, and changing every day. This is why so many poker end bosses get totally burned out of poker and try to dabble into finance. However, Dunning-Kruger and ego make them think that after learning a few buzzwords they know what they are talking about.

This is true, and when I mean finance I meant some of the more well established ponzi schemes like stocks, commodities, and forex. Not crypto which is the dumbest and most destructive/worthless/bad for society "financial asset" ever created.

How is he still going after Hellmuth for Bitcoin Latinum? Is Doug Polk secretly very unintelligent? Or is there some prop bet going on where he has to get everyone to hate him?

One would have expected he would actually grow closer to the likes of Hellmuth and Negreanu, now that he's part of a 'scandal' himself.

Maybe get some advice or something. From the experienced people.

Doug is a smart guy but he's a narcissist. His entire response since stepping down has been absurdly poor. Hard to believe he isn't just trolling at this point. His friends and 'team' of people have failed him in letting him make such a fool of himself. Saying nothing at all would have hurt him less then his lol statement and Q&A but selfishly he wants to carry on throwing stones unabashed.

The way he talks to his close friends like Mike Brady was always a major red flag for me. Look, I get that people cannot be perfect in every way. I always had some respect for Doug and still do, but its definitely less. Not that it matters to me, but he always said he cares about Tegridy and all that. But now the possibility all of it was just an elaborate act has increased.

He did good stuff for the poker world. Polker hands is the greatest free content ever put out for poker. Upswing poker was also good value IMO for the most part. I respect Doug's poker business and integrity. But his hubris and arrogance brought this upon him. It would be much easier to forgive it if I saw he was learning something from this, but clearly he hasn't learned anything. This would humble most people, but the fact that it isn't humbling Doug is one of the greatest signs of stubborn arrogance I've seen in a minute.

I don't hate Doug. He has put himself on the front line many times, but I just think its time for Doug to move to the sidelines for now and reflect.

He just doesn't give a sht. His ego is too high. One of those people who never admits they are wrong and then tries to blame the victims.

He's a joke.
