2 tabling is gross, gonna need ~160 hours to finish the match which is a lifetime.

given DNegs will prob get a bit of coaching, I'm guessing it may be lower, prob around 15-20bb/100 ?

I'd put the o/u at 17

Wasn't there videos of Polk struggling with the variance at 2NL on WSOP? Then, to finish the challenge, Polk had to bumhunt at higher stakes games and play outside of the bankroll management rules to get across the finish line.

Or as some people call it "four normal working weeks".

6 max zoom pool at 200/400 NL with all the people in poker who used to be well liked.

Winner gets to stay in poker. Losers have to stream fortnite on twitch.

Can they play HU Zoom to make it faster? That way they can just fold hands they don’t like

Hu zoom doesn't make too much sense.

They should play limit 8game if online. Or an mtt challenge like sagedonkey vs g.

The main potential issue of contention is now where the game is played. Whilst it would be most practical for both to play on Wsop.com, GG are never going to allow this. The problem with GG is both players would have to play abroad. Surely this will be an issue for both players, especially if numbers like 25k hands are being thrown around. Thats a month of living in Mexico/Canada.

It won't be 25k, it'll be around half that I imagine.

1.42 is insane, but it's capped at $200, I'll bet many dollars on Polk at around 1.4 if anyone wants to bet on Dnegs.

Doug beat Sauce for 24bb/100

Donger Kim beat Nick Frame for 13bb/100 and they were closely ranked top hunl players at the time

Even a long retired Doug would absolutely destroy Negreanu

I don't know the format and haven't really gotten into what they agreed but why pay rake at all?

Play a home game on stars and agree to settle up afterwards.

Lol and this is what I was worried about. Watch it get canceled because nobody really ever agreed to anything.

What's the point of doing the challenge if you readily admit you're the worse player at the format and outmatched? Why set the money on fire?
lol @ cuz "give the people what they want", does anyone believe that?

Read it, he's not saying it to back out, yet.

Dnegs ego gets bruised if he backs out. It also gets bruised if he plays the challenge because he'll get smashed. In either of those situations he can't win.

Right now, he is trying to figure out how he can keep some sort of credibility, which is what that post Doug tweeted is all about.

Yeah I know, he's not canceling out at the moment. It smells a bit like providing some pretext to doing so though. I hope I'm wrong.

IMHO it would be stupid of DN to do this.

Is there any doubt that the vast majority of DN's lifetime income has come from his persona rather than actually playing poker?

I would wager his lifetime sponsorships dwarf his actually winnings from actually playing poker.
From live tournaments alone I would not be surprised if he is lifetime loser if we factor in all the buyins/rebuys and all the living/traveling expenses to play the live tournaments.
Also factoring in the US tax laws.
It hurts when you make a big bink every few years and lose most years.

At least with DP he appears to have made most of his money from actually playing poker (before his poker training site) as he has had no major sponsorships over the years he played high stakes cash games.

IMHO DN would be better off with a celebrity boxing match as it doesn't hurt the "perception" of his reputation as a poker player.
If he gets totally smoked by DP at poker it would be hard to live down.

I think it doesn't happen. But who knows?
