The other day afer losing heavily he said his coached would mark him "A" for how he played, today he dropped $300K and was happy with the session. This self delusion that right from the start led him to accept this unbalanced challenge is now inescapable. Poker being poker he will have some good sessions, but not string enough to win overall, and he is now so far down there is little to suggest there is any hope. I said this and the next session would be pivotal, this was disastrous in anyone's eyes but Negreanu's, having seen how badly he tilts, this looks as though it is just the start of an absolute pounding. That final K7 hand, where he had no idea of where he was, shows in a nutshell all that is wrong.

He really thinks hes better than Doug and just running bad. Like he seriously unironically thinks that.

Great interview from Doug after the match. Actually thought Daniel implemented some new sizes well and in the correct spots in this session but he himself played really well but did also run like the sun. Is 5-bet jamming 88 for 100bb standard? I know very little about HU cash.

Yeah, jamming and calling the 4bet are both fine.

What's not being talked about is the A J 4bet, which is a 0% play according to the solvers. That preflop decision is much more interesting than the river call, which makes a good amount of sense, especially with the suit. I would be surprised if Doug is not aware that it's a pure call vs. the 3bet.

Can someone assess if K7o call by Dnegs was good when Doug Polk had 33?

This challenge should've been heads up live poker over like a weekend of binging poker between the two, would've been more competitive plus more fun for the viewers.
