I doubt Dnegs cares about humilating himself. The players he caters to are your average Joe Schmo who "ooo and ahh" his sick reads. They will not care about this story at all. The ones who will ridicule him are already against Dnegs as is.

Been doing a deep dive on some Negreanu WSOP hands on youtube. Dude has the sickest reads. He's going to destroy this Polk guy.

DN might be trending towards some kind of breakdown. On Lee Davy's podcast a month ago he was agitated, but much calmer than he is today.

Doesn't Polk have a business selling expensive training videos? Why make himself look so bad with this? Dnegs also is got hired by GG as someone who will say "more rake is better" or whatever he is paid to. Why are these guys making themselves look so bad?

Doug should have made Daniel agree to a back out fee to give to escro while they were talking on Twitter.

Also he should possibly clarify a max rake he would play at. So Daniel can’t challenge Doug on GG uncapped rake tables and give him a **** rb deal and say he tried but Doug doesn’t want to play on GG and he’s not allowed elsewhere.

I doubt this actually happens.

I agree with most people here that is unlikely this happens. Daniel is going to most likely demand the action take place on GG. They should settle it live like Antonio and Phil and just lower the hands needed.

It would just be a meaningless sample size. Dnegs will try and manipulate the circumstances to make it as much of a crapshoot as possible but 25k hands at HUNL is what he signed up for.

I guarantee you, Dnegs hates being in the situation he is now. He hates the idea of backing down but hates even more the idea of losing a couple of million to Doug Polk.

I find DNEGs and Polk quite insufferable on twitter, but Polk is quite hilarious and likable on youtube.

The only conclusion I can come to is SrslySirius is a national treasure.

It has to take place somewhere, may as well be GG. If i were Daniel i would make that demand as my only condition, seems ok given his underdog status, he has to gain something from the whole thing right?

I doubt they will both travel abroad to take this challenge. Granted many people are playing on GG through vpn but still they are very high profile and would be spotted easily in Vegas while doing it. Negreanu probably doesn't want to play at ACR so if it happens will be on WSOP site on the fall/winter.

GG will want their ambassador to play on their own site and nowhere else.
Daniel playing on WSOP.com for the WSOP was a one-off which, I’m sure, was agreed with GG.
GG will see this match as a great bit of PR for them and won’t want it happening anywhere else. It gives Daniel the perfect exit strategy.
Seeing as Doug doesn’t have a contractual affiliation with a site, it could be argued that he has to agree to it being on there or he will actually be the one losing face.
