Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever? Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?

11-26-2010 , 06:26 PM
Doug Lee doesn't play the cards, he plays the players. A true poker pro.

That was awesome. Firstly, A+ on the Home Improvement music for the intro!

You can't help but think heaps of the stories in here are exaggerated but when he says things like;

Quote:
It's harder for me to bluff because people know my image from TV
Quote:
Most people do know who I am, but they won't say anything about it
It leads me to believe he truly is as delusional as the stories in this thread suggest.

Looking forward to the other parts!

Good video, thanks so much. Two things he said had me rolling, the comment about how everybody knows him, and how pros are easier to play than amateurs because you can bluff pros. Doug has obviously moved up to where they respect his raises!

Total gold.

Oh and also, he's got that blinking thing going on like Daniel.

So cant wait for parts 2-4. This is pure comedic gold.

very well done so far. lol boring- the longer this goes on with an air of seriousness, the greater the success. by whatever power, doug has yammered on for 10 minutes, promoting his brand. marco has done well to allow for glimpses of the true doug to shine. i mean the very fact that doug believes he's worthy of such a long interview is confirmation of the thread.

There's always a bounty on me!

I truly believe it is time to remove the question mark from the title of this thread.

"The site (2+2) has actually helped me, in terms of getting my image out there..."

GOLD

He told me personally that if he can needle a million people then he has done his life work.
11-27-2010 , 01:56 AM
His blinking is annoying and is also a tell for his BS.....I feel sorry for people like him!

LOL at him showing the ring at all times in the video. I never saw his other arm/hand at all but his ring hand never left our sight. Doug Lee has read every post itt without a doubt. Is it possible that Doug is now doing certain douchy things like showing the ring in the first part(and most likely all) of the video as a schtick to keep what little fame he has left? A la Hellmuth exaggerating blow ups as part of his schtick? I love you Doug Lee.

Possible Doug Lee sighting in BBV:

Was playing at the Venetian in Las Vegas on Monday 11/22 around noon, I was at a 2-5 NL game (seat 4) where the average stack was around $1500 and one player(seat 6) had about $8K.

Here was the situation: Seat 3 moves in all in on the river for his last $850 to bring the total of the pot to around $3K. Seat 6 had flopped a set of aces but the board had three diamonds on the flop, so he just called all the way to the river hoping to pair the board. At the river he waited about 1 minute trying to get a read on seat 3 to see if he indeed had the flush. He induced seat 3 to turn his hand over as he pushed his hand to the middle of the table and lifted his hand. The dealer started to grab for his hand but the idiot in Seat 3 rolled over top 2 pair A Q, so seat 6 put his hand back on the cards since he had only lifted his hand for a quick moment hoping to have seat 3 expose his card. Now the cards never hit the muck so the floor person and the floor supervisor both ruled that the hand was live and ruled for seat 6 and the set of aces, seat 2 and 3 leave in disgust screaming how bad the decision was and apparently worked their way up the Venetian corporate ladder until they found someone that agreed with them.

Now 2 hours later the shift supervisor and another floor person accompanied by a few security guards ask seat 6 to step away from the table to discuss the hand. They tell seat 6 that they had misruled on the decision and for him to give them the $3200 pot. Acourse seat 6 says no and that he would leave the casino. Floor personnel say fine and escort him to the cashier now he was playing roughly $6k in cash which he pocketed and $2200 in chips. As he turned in his chips the floor said not to pay him. As seat 6 was a little upset but not out of control the floor then asked him to lift his hands and they took the $6K from his pocket.

Seeing all of this really made me angry, how 2 hours later the floor could reverse its decision, acourse possibly affecting the hands and raises that incurred during those 2hours. Every poker rule board I have read says Floor decision is final. I told everyone at the table this was crazy and I will never play at a casino that would change a decision 2hours later. I simply racked up my chips (winning session) and headed to the cashier. Seat 6 was still at the cashier with all the security and appeared to be on the phone to the gaming commission, so I gave him my card in case he needed a witness to recap the verbiage at the table.

I do think what seat 6 did was a move and what seat 3 did by exposing his hand prior to 100% assurance the hand was dead was well an IDIOT! I could have seen the decision go either way as some houses rule that once a player pushes his hand over the Betting Line and lifts his hand it is dead, while other houses rule the hand live until they have hit the muck. I would have been ok with either decision, my issue is changing the decision 2 hours later.

Lessons:
Never ever turn your cards over and if you feel you must make sure the opposing hands are dead.

Also if you get a decision that may be questioned later pick up your money and get out while you can, as apparently the Casinos can change their minds at anytime.

Also if you ever see a bad decision, my best advice is to leave whether it affected your hand or not. To many places to play.

Love to hear back if anyone else has seen a floor decision overturned hours later???

Lol...sounds like someone is huge pit fish and convinced Venetian to steal that guy's money. Hope Gaming showed up, because that was straight up theft.

No way this happened. You need a recalibration of your bs meter.

Edit: Sorry for my part in hijack of epic DLTB thread.

Funny you should ask...

11-27-2010 , 09:03 PM
Cliffs: Toolbox thinks everyone hates on him because his semi bluffs hit often. He also is a believer in "betting low to win high" lol
11-27-2010 , 09:31 PM
OMG OMG OMG OMG @Dougleepoker isnt doug lee's twitter???
11-27-2010 , 09:33 PM
hahaha doug fin lee what a tool box he is.
11-27-2010 , 09:42 PM
This just gets better.

He thinks that whoever made DougLeePoker on Twitter did so because Doug crushes him whenever they play each other.

I said it after the first video but I love the "Tim The Toolman Taylor" Home Improvement intro music.

Does Doug realise even the Quad Jack guys are mocking him?
