Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
Sat on a 2/5 table with him at the Venetian. He was quiet as a church mouse. I was really expecting a lot more tool baggery. I was going to give him a hard time but he never acted out once. Maybe he was sleeping at the table and I didnt notice? Perhaps this thread has had an affect on how he carries himself? The Tool Time show was not runnin. Major disappointment.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
A friend of mine played with him in a 1k satellite yesterday. He sits down, dealer asks him for his ID so he can get his chips and Doug looks at him and says "what, you don't know who I am?"

Wait - did the dealer kill him with the quote or did he pull one of his customary "I was on TV" bits?
Confusing me here, Gobbo.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
I played a 1k satty with him today. There's 80 green chips ($25s) and 80 orange chips ($100s) in play, and he's somehow accumulated about 50 greens and 50 oranges while the table is 7 handed (about 5 of each for the remaining players). The blinds were 75/150, a player tosses in a purple chip, the dealer tosses it to Doug to make change, who snaps at the dealer and tosses the purple chip to the guy to his right to make change instead (who only has maybe 8 greens and oranges).
He calls a raise without looking out of the BB with T3o, flops 245, calls a jam, busts a guy, then tries to fist bump him. The guy looked at him like "huh?" and then just walked away.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
Out of the ME. From Pokernews:
Lee Leaves
Posted 3 minutes ago by Shamus
Doug Lee is out. On one of the first hands after returning from the break, a short-stacked Lee found himself all in before the flop with 7 7 and unfortunately was up against an opponent holding A A .
The board ran out 5 5 2 J 4 , and Lee hits the rail whilst muttering quietly into the WSOP Circuit ring on his finger.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
I heard from a friend the other day after UFC, he's like "You will not believe who I was seated next to out of 20,000 people at UFC"
I made a decent guess, but I was wrong, it was Doug Lee. I assume my friend had good seats, so Doug Lee again ballin' out of control.
Yes he really was wearing his ring, unfortunately my friend didn't take a picture as he was too busy enjoying himself with non-toolboxes.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
^^^ He never has this jacket off. Is he actually a red pro or is he just wearing the patch for no reason.

Pretty sure he was at Bellagio today at the same time Cyril was in Bobbys room. For one day the stars aligned

It's important not to lose sight of how amazing it is that he wears this ring around everywhere, especially to day 1 of the ME.

if not for this thread, do you think this even gets reported? 2+2 has made him relevant.

It's important not to lose sight of the fact that I made up the bit about him muttering into his ring, Pokernews didn't report that.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
Does Doug Lee even care abot bracelet events? They are kind of beneath him.
Bustout was intentional imo.

Re: Doug Lee, biggest toolbox ever?
Ha just imagine the hilarity of him wearing a wsop bracelet every time he leaves the house. He would never be seen in long sleeves again.
