I root for doug lee to go deep in a wsop event every year. Getting to see him play on FT stream would be entertaining.

Confirmed. He's at table #429 purple section, and he's got a castle of chips in front of him.

Today just was his day

You guys will love this...

Day one of the Colossus Doug sat in the wrong seat. When the player who was assigned to the seat Doug was sitting in showed up they let Doug stay and found a new seat for the guy whose seat was taken by Doug. Doug had already won a few pots before the guy who was supposed to be sitting in that seat showed up.

Somehow the dealer who was supposed to check the seat assignment couldn't figure out the difference between beige and gold.

Doug finished day 1 with 280k stack after sitting in wrong seat! Lol

This is the kind of power and respect the Canadian Superbomber commands in the poker world, and rightly so.

Doug Lee raises to 85,000 from middle position. Ryan Hoberg, who is sitting next to Lee, reraises to 160,000. The blinds fold their hands and the decision is up to Lee, who spends long enough talking at Hoberg that the button player calls out: "I thought we established 'no dating at the table!'"

Lee tosses his hand into the muck and says "queens" to Hoberg, taking a guess at what he thinks his opponent. Hoberg turns up just that, queens, and takes the pot.

Ryan Hoberg - 1,800,000
Doug Lee - 800,000

Doug Lee has a ton of chips in the 1k PLO (event 19). It's still day 1 but he appears to be the chip leader.

Doug Lee invented water.

5/37 in Event #49: $1500 Seven Card Stud.

Hmm...that may not be correct, as it also says 61 remaining. Either way, he's making a run!
