I know IQ isn't everything, but there is definitely a lower limit in terms of what it takes to be a successful businessman and I think Doug is clearly below that threshold.

Edit: Post above mine is exactly what I'm talking about; I think the story is likely to be true, given the rest of the info itt and what other live players have told me about DL.
You must be unfamiliar with how scummy a lot of businessmen can be.

I was in Home Depot with a friend. We were looking to do some repairs on my shelf and suddenly my friend goes, "Hey there's Doug Lee!" I said where, and looked all around but didn't see any short, Canadian Asian players with really big and shiny rings. Then my friend goes, "No, no you idiot, right behind you." Then I thought better of myself and realized there was a large, metallic storage container behind us.

I introduced myself to the great one and got his autograph and photo. The best day of my life.

After 33 pages the stories continue to roll in. 100% confirming Doug Lee is the biggest toolbox ever!

T95 4

My friend checks, Doug slides out 2 stacks of red with one hand and throws in a black with the other.

My friend asks, "Do you play online poker?"
Doug smirks and looks around the table smiling.
"I'm a businessman. I've only started playing this year."
"I'm new at all this," he says, gesturing around the poker room, while again trying to contain his smile as he shares the moment with the rest of the table. No one else is smiling.

My friend calls.

River: A

My friend checks.
"All in", says Doug quickly and really confidently for about $1200. When all of his money was in the middle, I actually noticed him place his right hand out on the felt in front of him, making sure his ring was visible.

My friend tanks for a bit then calls.

"Flush." Doug says.
"Ah damn", says my friend genuinely. "I have top 2.."

There's a bit of an awkward moment because Doug hasn't tabled his hand, and friend hasnt either, saying something about the hand to his neighbour on his right.

"Yeah unlucky. I put you on that hand though" says Doug loudly, not tabling his hand, but motioning for my friend to muck his hand, while keeping his left hand out and open so as to pull in the pot.

"Yeah, I just didn't think you could have a flush," my friend says, frustratingly tabling his AT

Doug quickly mucks his hand and the dealer pushes the pot towards my friend. It only now dawns on him that he almost just fell for a level 1 Doug Lee angle.

"I don't understand," my friend says, "you had a flush.... this money should be yours?"

Doug Lee doesn't say anything, searching for chips in his pockets.

"But you had a flush you said...? Dealer...? I don't understand."
My friend hasn't stacked any of the chips, pretending to be confused.

The dealer looks super awkward, not sure what to say.

"He was lying," says another reg across the table, "he was trying to steal your money. He always does that."

Doug Lee doesn't say anything, but just gets up and walks away.
You, sir, are a liar. Cease and desist.

Hahahahaha. Funniest non-photoshopped picture I've ever seen (even though that looks like a tackle box).
09-15-2011 , 04:49 PM
^ there were tools in it so it counts

John Wray doing a Doug Lee impression behind Doug Lee is pretty funny.

Yea tackle boxes have tools in them, so as Marv Albert would say "Yes! And it COUNTS!"
