I played with Doug Lee at several tables at the Venetian last weekend, and not only didn't he do anything toolboxy, he wasn't even the biggest douche at the table each time.

Very, very disappointing.

LOL can't believe I never have read this thread before.

May have been mentioned, but one of the links on his site is about Las Vegas real estate, and we all know how that went.
Methinks Doug could use another tourney boxing right about now....

Last night I was playing 1/2 with Doug at the Grey Eagle in Calgary.

He transfers to my table and sits down in seat 5 with $800 as it's about to be his big blind. He decides to wait a few hands to avoid posting. Half way through the orbit, seat 10 busts while on the button. Doug gets up and moves to the 10 seat, chasing the button around the table.

From the cutoff he opens a pot by throwing in 3 $5 chips. Button and SB both call then BB raises to $75. It comes around to Doug and he folds. Button and SB fold and dealer starts pushing the pot to the winner. Doug starts yelping "I made it $13. That's my usual... I need change." The table starts laughing in disbelief as nobody heard him verbalize a bet. The dealer was terrible and ended up giving him and the other players change. The pot winner was pissed and and yells across the table "You should have said you bet $11 if $2 means that much to you"... and he tosses Doug $2 more.

I was so tempted to ask him how long he had that move in his toolbox or something along those lines but it wouldn't have gone over very well as he's somewhat of a local poker celebrity.

I heard he pulls similar angles in blackjack and has got away with it from a dealer I spoke to in vegas. He allegedly likes to try and past post in roulette on crowded tables.

I asked why doesn't he get banned? The answer was ldo...because he doesn't win. He's a pit superstar.

Some people are really easy to level. Had to check my work. Hadn't popped in the doug lee thread in a while.

Even All In magazine snubs Doug Lee!!!

This from the Oct issue's article on Jean-Robert Bellande.

"That changed in 2005.Bellande got himself staked to enter the $10,000 World Series of Poker event at the Rio in Las Vegas, and out of 222 entries,he placed third-five spots ahead of Phil Ivey, one spot behind Jennifer Harman."
