A discussion emerged on the Twitterverse between Full Tilt Poker’s Andy Bloch and 2005 WSOP Circuit champion Doug Lee regarding the number of millionaires in the game of poker. Bloch researched the question and Tweeted, “According to the Hendon Mob site, 601 players have grossed over $1M in tournament poker.” Lee, who sits just under that magic mark with career earnings of $983,000, fired back, “And all but 8 of them are broke.”

While his response to Bloch was especially funny, Lee would also get in on what was potentially the funniest Tweet exchange of the week between UB.com’s Liv Boeree and recent Borgata Winter Poker Open winner Jeff Madsen. After Boeree and Madsen started off the exchange with the latter Tweeting, “I've been left to take care of Liv Boeree. God help me,” Boeree fired back, “fold my laundry bitch.”

Boeree, an excellent guitar player, decided to teach Madsen how to play. Apparently the lessons weren’t going well when Boeree Tweeted, “Teaching @jeffmadsenobv to play guitar. Painful doesn't even describe it.” The aforementioned Lee had the last word on the subject when he Tweeted, “Hey whatever you can do to keep him from rapping again is good by me.”

Sat with him for about an hour at a small venetian event recently. About 15 min in I looked over and he was peeling a small citrus fruit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calamondin I think) which seemed to appear from nowhere. A hand went down in a 3 bet pot on a board of Tc9c6x board, money gets in, etcetc. After the hand, Doug tells the winner, loser, and the 4 people sitting near him that he folded J6cc and but of course he couldn't play it facing a raise. Perhaps from the blinds though, because he'll play anything from this blinds. This monologue went on for about 30 minutes.

It has been mentioned about a zillion times that "DougLeePoker" on Twitter is not actually Doug Lee (this becomes painfully obvious upon reviewing his old tweets). PokerNews.com looks really bad to publish a story like this without taking 30 seconds to verify whether it's actually Doug Lee (and it certainly wouldn't take more than 30 seconds to verify).

If I open a Twitter account called "BarackObamaPresidency" and start slinging witty insults would it become a story on CNN.com? Probably not. FoxNews.com maybe...
