Just read the whole thread in one sitting. One damn long sitting. Totally worth it.

How LAG is he playing $2-5? Is it as bad as people describe?

Dare I ask if anyone has seen him playing, or played $1-2 NLHE with him?
Lol no when he's waiting for his 2-5 seat he likes to sit on the couches to the left of the podium and read a copy of cardplayer obv looking to see if there's any mention of him anywhere.

He probably plays like 50/30 or something like that, a ton of hands in general and preflop opens but sort of weird loose-passive postflop. Every now and again he'll take some weird line and triple-barrel with air, but in general he just c-bets like 50% of the time and then check/calls a bunch.

There really is just a toolboxy aura about him, its hard to describe, and this thread isnt unreasonably hard on him imo. It's just a reflection of who he truly is.

I'm surprised no one has thought of this yet.

I made a profile on the swedish wikipedia of him. I only started it, but cant some1 ad the pic when a big toolbox is seated at the table to his profile please? I know my english sucks and i have to sleep now.

I wrote he is considered "the biggest toolbox of all time".

I'm shocked Doug Lee isn't the best in the world yet. Having him stare you down with that right eye and that left eye staring at the ceiling should tilt every opponent.

short but sweet doug lee story

saw doug at the ufc fights at mgm yesterday. figured it was just a guy who looked like him until i saw doug was indeed wearing his full tilt gear. had a friend yell "the canadian superbomber!!" which prompted doug to turn around and scan the hallway for his fan but to no avail.

My DL story:
In 2007, I was buried in a 100-200 or 80-160 limit game at the Bellagio. He sits in our game and chats it up with the table and drops the "do you know who I am line?" to the lady sitting next to me. He dropped that he had won a televised event against Jen Harmon (he didn't mention the suckout). The tone was real douchy.

He raised more than the normal and was to my right and I managed to get even by 3-betting him routinely.

He did manage to win an epic pot against the Iceman who laid down a king-high flush because of a three-way raise-war. As it turned out it was a bad laydown because Lee had a Queen (I believe, but could be slightly lower) high flush and the other guy had a smaller flush.

He eventually busted though.

Sat at a 2-5 table with DL at the Venetian Friday night. I recognized the toolbox immediately but didnt give him any indication. He was up to his usual douche-baggery and angle-shootin ways when this hot chick got seated to his left. Obviously, to impress her, he pulls the "have you seen me on TV" line, and she replies, "Oh, do you do commercials?". I nearly did a spit take over the felt. That has to be one of the best replies I have heard and she didnt even know she was being funny. The table did chuckle a bit. He must have felt burnt by her reply cause all he said after that was "nevermind...". He managed to donk off two buy-ins and left the table.

Does he ever win at the in cash tables? All I ever hear is about how much he loses. Does make that much at tournaments to support giving money away at cash games?

"Have you seen me on TV?" is a perfect lay-up for all sorts of funny responses. "Are you that guy on the Viagra advert?", "You're not the guy who hosts [insert some late night gay pron] show are you?"
