2005 WSOP, I'm playing the texas holdem table game at the Rio (pit game). Doug Lee strutts up to the table, this was just after his win had showed on TV so probably the peak of his fame.
The table limits were $15-$500, most people buy in for $200-$300, doug lee pulls out $17,000!
This takes an ungodly amount of time as they had to triple count the money, order a refill, etc
Doug asks for $100 in red which seems odd, then proceeds to bet the table minimum ($15) the dealer shakes his head in disgust apparently having seen this before. He plays about 3 hands and then picks up his chips and walks away.

Also of note: Doug Lee is a popular target among members of the vaunted 2+2 publishing forums, and they have devoted an entire 800 post thread to recounting certain instances where Doug may have acted in a peculiar or off-putting way. There are numerous photoshops of Doug in the thread that also poke fun at Doug's inflated sense of notoriety.
