There is not one shred of anything remotely resembling a confirmed fact in your post. Maybe Gus likes comfortable flip-flops. Doesn't mean he's broke.
Then, after you slander people, you attempt to right yourself from the gutter by not naming pros alledgedly asking for money. Ironically, the stuff you left out was actually the only potential fodder for a gossip post. At least there you said you saw pros allegedly begging for cash. But the stuff you did include was pure BS, Gus in sandals, Chino raising his voice, Lisandro looking mad, random facts about ivey's personal life. None of it means, or even points to, the fact they any of them have money troubles.
Post doesn't pass the muster, not even for a gossip thread.
Clearly dying to get into? I wrote this thread because I'm clearly dying to get OUT of it. I've been playing poker before more people on this thread, and I know about the pitfalls of gambling more than a lot of people on this page. But all I know was around what surrounds me. My casino, my gambling friends etc.
When I went to Vegas I thought I'd see something different, but in the end everyone is just the same all over the world. Here in Egypt, London where I lived for a while and the States.
Only difference is that TV glorifies players that should not be handed that glory. Maybe with an exception of a couple, but over no.
And I did not exaggerate about any of the stories, I merely stated what I saw and what my impression was. I said 'don't you think they're broke' not 'they're all broke'
I wanted to discuss this whole issue because it worried me since I've been dreaming of this poker glory for a while (final tables, high stakes tv time etc) we all have. But now we need to face reality. None of us will make it there, only a lucky few.
And I'll say this one more time, 95% of the players I saw in Vegas seemed broke. A lot of people on this thread agreed with me. I could be wrong, especially after someone mentioned that Gus had $13m in his FTP account.
