if you think so, then it is very possible to get all of the 2p2ers to strike it out. but it needs to be done more effectively, you know what i mean?

again, large guaranteed mtt's should be the primary target of protest to make they pay for that overlay immediately. That will hurt them.

my 2 cents
ok, so I'll sit to take the overlay. Money gonna money

agreed, and it cannot be done by random people sitting at random tables, it makes no sense. I cashed out $42,589.13 from stars days ago. that's my way of telling them to F off, and bovada will get ALL my business going forward.

those that still choose to play here, as I posted above, must hurt them by inflicting overlays.

PokerStars cancel guaranteed PCA satellites due to overlay

but as a reg (I think) you'd just be hurting yourself by sabotaging the efforts of your fellow pros. also hurting your long term bottom line. I fully expect the rando jag off to take advantage of the overlay, however if marketed properly, and spread across all forums, we can literally cost them 6 figures every sunday.

the sunday mill for example is loaded with nothing but names I know, meaning they are regs, meaning they are on forums, and if not on this one, some other one. point being we can really hurt them with organization and a proper plan.

we would have to be careful doing this and spread a lot of PM's and whispers, so they don't get wind of the overlay boycott and lower the guarantee

I dare everyone to open 5-10 running HU tables and typing the following in observer chat:

"You are now paying almost 2x rake due to changes made by Amaya. Google it!"

Do it once or twice a day. First time someone reads it they will ignore it, second time they will have a dejavu, third time they will google it.

I just did it.

you people are funny

I fully endorse all the regs packing up shop and leaving for another site..........ill stay on Stars though.......but you guys head off into the sunset

sitting out approach has been done numerous times before and ends badly........not for Stars......your account will be slapped with a warning or worse

That's not true. If it doesn't change Amaya's bottom line, they won't care so it's all a waste of time and energy better spent on something else. Getting people aware of rake changes isn't changing their bottom line. Withdrawing is. It will never happen though and for lots of good reasons.

Withdrawing money is completely meaningless to them because everything deposited is held in an account segregated from company money, by law. All deposits go into it and all withdraws come out of it. But none of it is the companies money, so if it fluctuates up and down a bit it makes no difference to their monthly profits at all.

Yeah, casinos don't mind when you leave with 10k cash in your hand either, cause the money is in your hand: it makes no difference to their monthly profits at all if you walk out with it.

An extra website is necessary to achive something. Or at least a few major points:

- raising awareness of what has happened (Amaya bought PokerStars, how did that happen, why etc.)
- what are the side effects (rake.. vip changes etc.)
- general updated information about poker sites, rakes, news etc.
- strike organization like as some sort of poker player "union"

With just this thread and this one day.. srsl.. its better than doing nothing but its not gonna have a major impact.

My guess is something around 1% of that

Are we just guessing the number of people with active (posted within 2 weeks) members or all-time?

Active, I'd say 5%. All-time, I'd say ~40%.
