I am a high-stakes heads up nlhe regular on PokerStars where I play under the name "Donger Kim". There's been quite a bit of discussion on heads-up rankings lately, particularly from TCfromUB (Nick Frame, TooCuriosso1 on 2p2). I've played quite a bit with him and think he's a top player. I respect his game and it would be humbling to play him and represent my country.

However, as he ranks himself ahead of me, I'd like to have a chance to play him in a challenge-type format. I think it would be a fun experience and something that would also be enjoyable for the community.

I propose we do a 15k hand challenge at 100/200 nl with a $50k sidebet escrowed with ike or sauce. I suggest we put some reasonable time frame conditions on this, we're both grinders so we should be able to finish this in a 1-2 week time frame.

Nick, let me know when you'd like to begin. Ideally, I'd like to get started right away.

yes I have played a few large buy in tournaments. I have never played the wsop heads up event before although i do plan to play this summer

Would be really exciting to watch for sure, but I'm afraid WCG is right that TC won't do it. TC mentioned on Joeys podcast he would play Donger at 25/50 (not sure if 50/100 as well), but not sure he will play him at 100/200.

dunno what the challenge is for exactly, like how is playing 15K hands gonna find out who's best? dunno how many hands is needed to overcome variance but how about 100K hands at a slightly lower limit (like 2KNL) would be way better to determine the better player, and way more fun for everyone (cos we get 6 times longer battle), obviously side bets would be happening too

This is for mostly entertainment value. To touch up on the 15k hands, I chose a number that could be easily accomplished within a couple of weeks(clearly 50k was too hard for some people).

I have played a reasonable sample with Nick and we both have different opinions on who is better. Also, 15k hands is a very solid sample in HUNL

Whatsoever, we all agree that when Nick refuses to play Dong then he is no longer in a position to say he is better, right? Rather the opposite, when Nick refuses to play then Dong can consider himself as the better player.

Has TC expressed any interest in a challenge w/ you before this? Highly doubt anything will come of this if he hasn't.

Also TC ranking you #4 and himself #3 isn't exactly him slighting you or claiming to be a much better player or anything, kinda silly to issue challenge because of that. It's not like he put himself #1 and left you off the list
