Does Gus Hansen even play poker anymore? - Poker News

I know he was considered a whale in the high stakes games that used to run on Full Tilt before Black Friday and that he's probably low on cash now that the FT gravy train is over, but seriously...what happened to this guy? His Hendon Mob page is sad to look at these days, with no significant cashes since 2012.

I don't recall seeing his name in a single event at this year's WSOP. Does he even play cards anymore? Obviously he has experienced a fall from grace compared with the WPT days when he was on fire, but you'd still think he could easily find backing to play $10k and below tourneys.

Theres no money grinding 10k and below especially if you are backed. Maybe he quit poker, or just plays smaller juicy cash games.

During cash game Scott Seiver said Gus was awake for 2+ days in a cash game at Aria. No idea who he was playing or if he was up/down.

Yup I saw him at the Aria a couple weeks ago playing Chinese HU. I'm quite certain he had at least a rack full of $1K chips. Couldn't really tell if he was up or down.

I wonder if he would still be playing the big games if those Euro idiots didn't **** on him in that documentary. If they woulda just stfu and didn't have to brag Gus prolly still be playing online lol.

I am wondering where all the money comes from. Is it really like him and Guy being the biggest donators in the big games? Crazy to think of a "pro" being 1 of the biggest donators lol. The dude's backing game must be strong unless he found a ****ing gold mine somewhere.
