I think Eskaborr would disagree: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/19...hread-1030502/

durrr is just a kid who made some dumb comments without really thinking about the downstream implications.
He is not the second coming of Christ and people should not believe that his word is his bond, obviously dividing his few million amongst all the players out of pocket is not really going to help anyone, least of all durrr.

Those guys must still have lots of money in their Swiss bank accounts, which presumably is going to be seized. (If there's any left. How much has been spent on hookers and blow?)
+1 when the *** does the teller get held responsible for theft by the bank president?

Durrrr is just a young kid who ran good durring the poker boom! How can you respect him any less or expect more from him? I think he is giving us more info than we can ever plan to get from anyone else. He owes us nothing, If anything he is getting ****ed by FTP more than any of us are!

I'm not sure how much of what you said had any impact on subsequent actions, but you could have stayed silent on the issue, especially if you knew something.

Here's a good question to ask Durrrr.

What is next for you if FTP goes under? Will you play on PS? Play Live? Retire from poker?

After reading the sticky thread and all the mentions of paying players the 1M, one question kept nagging me, how does Durrr or anyone wanting to reimburse players verify amounts in their accounts, not to mention that said accounts are owned by claimants. Does the DOJ have those account details or have FTP said they'd release the details or something else?

I still respect Durr. He was in a tough spot, FTP treated him handsomely and to do nothing else but bite the hands that feeds could've blown up.

All he has to do is own up that he was wrong and fooled like others to put his faith into FTP and people will forgive.

I seriously i'm in shock at how people are calling him the GOAT, awesome, or how they have respect for him because he's answering questions...Really? how old is everyone here? Just read what he writes. He never said anything even though he claims he knew how bad it was (then he claims he didn't know...that's called flip-flopping). Who cares that he's willing to answer questions? it's called self-preservation. it's called tricking people into liking you again.

Gee, i wonder if Durrr will one day work for another poker site/company...he's doing a good job so far of ensuring that given how easily charmed the people who post here seem to be at his nonsense. Look he's not evil but how the hell do you respect him?!? does making prop bets on the internet how you evaluate people? grow up.

Tom basically admited he knew how bad the situation was in June while the ROW players were still depositing money.

He has admitted he has known for months the situation was dire yet chose to say nothing or at the very least walk away from FTP.

Didn't read all 4 pages of this thread but if I were to answer the title of this thread, seems to me that Durrr is blaming the unprocessed funds as the reason of FTP's downfall and that is far from the truth. Looks like they were flat out stealing from player's fund well before they lost processors and was unable to collect $150 mil or so in players' deposit. In other words they were spending/paying dividends more than what they were raking...plain and simple.

I already respected Tom Dwan immensely. I now do more than ever.

The fact that he would personally take this so hard and spend so much of his time worrying about others and fielding questions (when countless others who are higher up on the food chain than him have not) speaks volumes for his character.

Dwan is one of the few pros to have discussed Full Tilt's issues since black Friday and he's only been with Full Tilt for under two years. It has seemed from the beginning that it would have been much easier and safer for Tom to just keep his mouth closed than get involved the way he did by offering money as a guarantee. That is a good indication that his motives are good imo.

No one will probably feel any sympathy for Tom right now because people tend to think that being rich solves all your problems, which is not really true IMO. The guy is in a tough spot, he signs a sponsorship deal in the early stages of his career, and the company ends up scamming customers out of a lot of money. That's a tough spot to be in. I'd be pretty pissed pissed off if I was Tom, and I'd feel used.

I think most of what Dwan knows stems from his personal relationships with Howard and whomever the potential FTP buyers were that he signed an NDA with... Thus, he has some valuable information, but he only knows as much as Howard and those guys wanted him to know - which isn't a whole lot. Tom confirmed as much in his Pokerstars Podcast where he said Howard told a couple half-truths and dodged a few questions in their talks before and after Black Friday.

Dwan speaking out about FTP reminds me a lot of Sebok speaking out about UB. It's interesting and I enjoy they perspective - but at the end of the day they don't know much about what goes on behind the scenes. Dwan intrigues me a little more than Sebok only because he is/was friends with all of the owners, whereas Sebok was a true outsider at UB from what I can tell.
