No one will ever know for sure what was really going on at full tilt. My guess is Lederer, ferguson and bitar took the fall for a lot of other who were equally involved. Ivey and other major shareholders come to mind.

Any other up-to-the-minute gripes you want to share with us? Perhaps you have some thoughts on this big Tiger Woods scandal?

In a couple of years with FTP, he made maybe 100x what you’re making in your lifetime. What does that say about your competence if he’s an idiot? And he still has most of that money. He also doesn’t care one iota about you or any other person who is still upset about the FTP situation 7 years later.

Why would Doyle care about any of that? He’s made a fortune by hustling people over the last 50 years. If anything, he’s probably proud of his friends who made millions through FTP and laughs about guys like you.

I didn't lose respect for Doyle or Howard. I never had that much respect for them anyway. Respecting gamblers is a very naive thing to do, when it comes to their character. Gambling is one of the worst industries to look for respectable people. Over the years, literally every poker personality I was a fan of, I see them now as just being pretty human, and not all that impressive.

In that regard, since Lederer was coasting with the respect and power of being a major runner of Full Tilt, and was being viewed as a legitimate businessman, I'm sure that is actually what probably bothers a person like him. He seemed like the type of guy that relished the power and position he was in. He was a terrible businessman, but he never struck me as legitimately wanting to rip players off. I feel that players were very emotional during that time, and chose to see him in that light.

In my opinion, he was just a terrible businessman, and while he did some shady things in the end, I feel he was just desperate to come out with some money, knowing that the ship was going down. I also feel that if he could have gotten the company back afloat, he would have. I'm realistic, so I won't judge him for trying to get his payout. I can guarantee that literally anyone in poker/gambling would have tried to secure that $40 million that he tried to secure for himself. The fact that they pretend otherwise is honestly laughable. There are no heroes in gambling. Not one.

In the light of what Daniel Negreanu with Poker Stars, showing his true colors, do you really think he wouldn't have done pretty similar things? Negreanu talks a big game, but I wouldn't trust him any more than I do Lederer, as far as poker companies being legit goes.

No, I have never lost respect for Doyle.

I did lose respect for Howard, some of which was restored by his apology.

I would be honored to sit with either of them and play poker.

It was a long long time ago, and I got my money back in full.
