I wonder what happens to a bitcoin site if the value suddenly drops a significant amount.

These sites keep money in bitcoin, right? So if one has 1 bitcoin on the site, and the value drops a significant amount, one still has 1 bitcoin.

That being said...say bitcoin drops from 15k to 5k:

1) People who play on the sites likely lose some money in terms of USD, since they were likely holding some bitcoin (unless they cashout from the site to an exchange, and sell for USD literally every night)

2) People who play on the sites typically sit at higher stakes on the bitcoin tables, so instead of sitting a table with a max buyin of 1 bitcoin, they'd sit a table with a max buyin of 3 bitcoin, which would be the same USD value.

When a bunch of action started happening on FTP, players FTP accounts became known, maybe we will someday know if this is LLinus, cindy, etc. Some of these guys are sitting massive stakes, equivalent to 100-200 USD, so it's definitely possible.
