Final Table should roll back blinds a few levels (I think the WPT did this a few times)

In terms of giving himself more time between blinds, yes.

In terms of more villains who can pick up a premium hand against him, no.

So... it's just a matter of having to adjust correctly either way.

wow. interesting and crazy fact.u

Does anyone think there's a chance Phil is playing to make the final table and not playing optimal winner-take-all strategy? I would really be surprised if this is the case b/c he wants the ME bracelet so bad and the tournament money means little to him, but for him to have had a short stack this long and not been all-in more it seems like he's playing risk averse and not pushing every edge.

oh silly ivey. making us sweat so much when you have this thing dominated.
07-16-2009 , 01:10 AM

WAY weirder than a guy named Moneymaker winning the whole thing.
07-16-2009 , 01:11 AM
Does anyone smell a repeat of '03, with Darvin Moon playing the role of Moneymaker? Just fold the pocket 9's Phil!

I think the call by Moon is almost as bad as Kopp play. Board pairs on the turn and you got 2nd nut flush and you risk 20 million.
