True story I got married in 2004 and my wife and I were in Atlantic City sometime after the World Series aired and Williams won 2nd place. I remember seeing him at a Harrah's event or something and everyone was congratulating him(including my wife and I) and he was very pleasant. People kept asking him where Marcel was(because it was said over and over that Marcel helped him in the main event). He took it in stride and laughed.

A few years later, maybe 2007 I saw him in Vegas during the world series, tried to say hello and just make quick small talk and he was the biggest dick ever. He was rude, arrogant and just so full of himself. A buddy of mine told me he played at his table and he was bragging about himself the whole time about a Bentley he bought and how much money he has and he went on and on. My friend told me he got a bad beat and started making fun of the guy for calling or something and stormed off. Definitely not the happy guy I saw in 2004. Money and fame change people and usually not for the better.

So I will be probably be rooting against him on Masterchef lol.

Someone definitely needs to print these out and hand them to him for autographs this World Series.

He doesn't seem like the type of person that would go deep in Masterchef America. That show has never been about the cooking, only about "rating grabber" personalities and underdog victories. I don't really see him as the quirky, high energy personality that snatches ratings, and I also don't see him filling any underdog roles considering the guy has already been relatively successful in life. I havent touched a season of master chef in years simply because of how contrived it all is but I may tune in next season to see how far he can go. Top chef is way more realistic imo and is more than enough to quench my reality cooking competition itch.

The first few episodes are usually where they cut down that 40 to like 20 or something. So we won't know if he actually gets an apron till it airs. He could just lose in the first episode and not even get an apron for all we know.
