Andrew Brokos is a regular magazine contributor who has a pretty good poker podcast. The latest includes an interview with Mr. Sklansky.

I thought the first part was interesting as it gave some background on DS origins. The last part was a little contentious especially when Nate (co-host), apparently feeling he was talked down to, thew his skills (Google coder), and his education (PHD Greek Philosophy) in DS face

It's like the prison interview with Richard Kuklinski.
Really awkward.

David Sklansky is the world's most intelligent human being, and that is why I will not play poker with him.

Funny how such a genius has zero understanding of David's unending pursuit to explain things as simply as possible to maximize understanding.

Evidently not.

Sklansky busts on Poker After Dark: Brilliant Minds. The whole table walks over to shake his hand on his way out, (Bloch, Ferguson, Chen, and Brandon Adams. Hell, Chen reaches over the table to get his handshake in first!) I wonder why that happened.

That was such a memorable and significant moment that it started a tradition of shaking hands when somebody busts out of a tournament. You see it happening all the time these days!!!

Hi Matt!

Relief that Buzz Killington had busted?

You could discuss GTO pick up lines.

"It would be beneficial to you to form a short term sexual relationship with me. Do you understand why? No?
Can you not see the advantages? No? Ok let me list them for you."

David once shared with me his best pickup line. I'll leave it to him if he wants to share it publicly. David Sklansky interviewed on "Thinking Poker" podast

I believe that you are speaking of the one I already divulged in DUCY.

I didn't really get the sense that Nate. was being contentious. It felt more like he was being a bit of a fanboy. It might be contentious if Mason were a guest on the podcast.

Hi BD:

I listened to the interview and thought it was well done. It seemed to me that Nate’s comment was just meant to tell David that he was familiar with the specific topic that David was addressing at that moment.

Best wishes,
Mason

I agree. Try reading his books, will take you a lifetime to digest the material.

Heard the interview, good stuff. Agree with Joey that David should go back on the pod and or do more long form interviews.

This is a ridiculous take. There was not even a hint of this. Fakenews.

LOL. A very good read FWIW.

I interpreted the interview as old school DS versus the "solver"/equilibrium kids. Contentious may have been too strong a take. It was all very civil. I thought it was a fun listen.
