David doesn't need Isai's money. The cashflow from Amaya in FY16 can withstand another billion or so worth of debt and I'm sure his backers recognize that.
What are the amortization schedules of the two current lien terms?

Even DB Blooper has limitations. Luck makes a great stand-in for prowess, until it doesn't.

So does anyone think he'll get it for $21, or do you think other companies will come in and raise the price?

Maybe Sheldon or Stevie will buy it and then forget that they ever lobbied for RAWA.

Some Chinese billionaire should buy it for $28.88 a share and make it big in China. All those fish....

We didn't think he would. But it was a pretty popular piece of speculation immediately following the news. And stranger things have happened around this company.

In any case, the categorical denial is news, albeit not earth-shattering news.

Hold on a second, I don't know exactly who posed the question to Amaya, nor in what language, but I don't think the "popular piece of speculation" was that the Scheinbergs' involvement would necessarily be a part of Baazov's bid. That's an extremely implausible suggestion for too many reasons to list, and it's hardly earth-shaking that Amaya would issue such an unequivocal denial. The more plausible Scheinberg scenario would have them submitting a bid on their own; being a part of Baazov's bid isn't the only path. Still a longshot, sure, but the lead to your story stating that the Scheinbergs "won't be part" of any deal to take AYA private isn't really accurate. Baazov's preliminary / nonbinding bid, as your previous articles note, may bring other bids out of the woodwork.

These are the kinds of posts that ruin my day.

You should really just go to be banned from two plus two for this kind of talk.

Wow..there's a private company....omg its a private company....they could be owned by any1....oh well we better not allow that company into the U.S. lolllll your train of thought is a disgrace man.

An absolute disgrace to the 21st century. How old are you man? 74? So now here is what we do.....We call the New Jersey Gaming board tomorrow and we tell them ou're going to Federal Prison if you keep illegally not allowing Pokerstars into the U.S. market.

They are sabotaging the market man. Like get a clue here bro.....Your kind of talk is like watching a government official come down the street and rip some1 off and then being ok with it because they work for the government so you cant do a thing about it.

t.
huh ? what are you talking about.

Mono's comment is not only based in fact, it has been echoe'd by several others reporting on the latest turn of events at Amaya. If Stars getting started in NJ is important to you for whatever reason, the latest offer to take private does not help that effort, and could delay it further.

Also as a side note, its also been mentioned that the reality is that US market as whole is pretty much irrelevant right now to online gaming and will remain so for many years to come.

How feminized poltically are you sir?

We have 1.2 million concrete and 4-6 million abstract total people who would like Pokerstars.com to be back in America like they were before.

That group is called the Poker Players Association.

But because some guy who goes to work each day at the New Jersey Gaming Commition doesn't like or agree with what 6 million people are telling him is the correct way to handle a company like Pokerstars......You're just going to give your support to the gaming commission official and do nothing about it.

Ok there guy. Thats pathetic....no you have to call the gaming commission and say the PPA is right and we'll just start suing your policies over it.

Like omg man! Its a privately held foreign company! Everybody run omg well we dont know any1 could own them like omg....we better not let that company into America!

Your political tone and train of thought is equivalent to that of a 6 year old.

Just because theyre privately held sir...That has nothing to do with how they are allowed into New Jersey. Even if they're privatley owned...they still can be regulated by people in the United Kingdom.

Grow the **** up man and stop thinking about this issue like a wet behind the ears kid from 1955 good fing lord.

We have Grover Norquist in r corner. For ****s sake some ppl just need to wake up.

If and when the next set of Amaya financial results comes out, there will be more to discuss on this thread. The speculation going on here is bonkers and probably should stop now

Chris, let's say this purchase goes through. They're obviously not going through all this trouble just because they feel misunderstood by the stock market.

What kind of restructuring do you think is likely to take place? You haven't exactly been gushing about their latest product releases. Some of us have heard other rumors about bloated and not so effective departments at PS dating back to the years it was growing like a weed.

They've already sold off most of the not so valuable assets of the company, so what more can they do on that end? Do you think they'd restructure fundamentally away from poker and focus mostly on other types of gaming that are growing much faster?
