Danielle A has always come across a really solid person and obv a great player - the other couple involved here esp the boyfriend come off really badly.

I get into this thread and I see a degen from my story has made himself 2p2 famous by being the idiot husband of some girl that refused to pay an owed bet? I didn't realize he had gotten married and was an "entrepreneur" now, man he really turned his life around.

Ryan was a dealer at Tampa Hard Rock, he just showed up like a stray dog one night at our game. He was Derek's cousin from Indiana, was sort of quiet and passive aggressive. I tried to be nice to the guy but he couldn't control his tilt very well. I don't remember a day when he actually cashed out from the game with chips.

When guys make a prop bet, it's like $100k and they high-five afterwards. When women make a prop bet, it's $1k and are still bickering after the fact.

He got a job at Orange City, although I’m not sure he still works there. He has trouble keeping a job, allegedly.

Hi guys, just here to remind you why women avoid this forum!

Women who aren't stick thin aren't "pretty heavy" - also I didn't ask to be a part of this controversy, yet I get to read lovely comments anyway. Post a pic of yourself now hoosierdaddy, I'd like to judge!

I didn't call a specific person stick thin. Do you see the difference?

Jamie, I am surprised Kirsten paid you out as much as she did. Not that it wasn't owed, but if she is anything like her husband in my experience, she would have just rage quit without a word. I guess the bet was just a little too well known to run away from, even for them.

On a better note, your WSOP twitch streams with Tuck are the best, hope those are planned for this year as well.

If you avoid something because of a few bad apples the problem is yours. Saying that a whole forum is one way because of a few people is naive and ******ed.

Regardless 2+2 will go on with or without women so maybe just keep to twitter if you need a safe space.

I don't think there's much of an issue with calling short people short and tall people tall and fat people fat and thin people thin

that said the instagram jamie linked, that woman is nowhere near "pretty heavy"

FWIW, I said you looked like a runner. The only reason why I mentioned Lily’s stature was because in years of running, I don’t think I’ve ever seen somebody built like her even do a sub 20 min 5k which is a 6:24 mile pace. If you can’t do that, chances are you can’t run a sub 6min mile, certainly nowhere close to 5:30.

Nothing wrong with that, but you might want to make sure the other person isn’t a fast runner before committing $5k to race them.

People using the word “******ed” like that qualify as bad apples.

My bet was with Lily and we both brought cash to the track to pay immediately. I feel bad for Danielle having to chase down $ as I believe she would've paid instantly if she had lost to Kirsten. I'm not sure if the $1500 settlement has been resolved yet - gotta always escrow $ with people who aren't close friends, I guess that's the lesson learned for Danielle.

And thanks about the streams, appreciate it

Yea I think you're right that based on stride length alone, it would be hard for her to be very fast. I was confident in the bet at the table and then kinda **** myself when she 5x'd the bet with full knowledge of my background running in college. I think I'm done with athletic prop bets, too scary. Rather just lock myself in a bathroom for 30 days or something :P

You apparently haven't taken time to even read the details. Jamie made a bet with Lilly. That was paid out.

Kirsten made a side bet on the outcome with Danielle. That was the bet that was welched on.

Funny how someone with your lack of reading comprehension would call someone ******ed. Saying that women avoid the forum because of comments from some people is not saying that everyone on the forum makes those comments. It wasn't said nor was it implied.

You ran in College? OMG this was even a worse bet for Kirsten. College Runner even money. Most people play sports in high school, but college means you had real athletic prowess even if it was a small school or something. Danielle got robbed on the extra 500. I'm surprised Kristen didn't argue she was drunk and lacked capacity to make the bet.

Fair odds on that bet are probably in the 10:1 neighborhood, accounting for forfeit due to injury or other personal reasons and some kind of miracle like Des Linden winning Boston.

I’m an OK-ish male runner and wouldn’t take that bet for 1:1 against a female former college runner less than 15 years removed from school unless she’s overweight. And by that I mean 2 month of training couldn’t get her down to race weight + 20lbs on race day. And I obviously would try to find out about her college times before committing serious money.

I did read the entire post, however I did make a mistake as I know it was Danielle that was not paid out. Thanks for enlightening me.

Lol when I read "pretty heavy" I assumed he was talking about someone 5'2" 180lbs or something. What an idiot. Normal bod.

Yeah how insensitive and offensive to sticks. Inconsiderate. Should have used "rail thin". Eff rails, no one likes those.

But seriously I hope for your sake that English is not your first language because you seem to communicate poorly in this language. She said nothing offensive.
