There is quite the twitter war going on that won't end. Danielle and Kirsten booked action on the Jamie Kersetter Lily Kiletto 1 mile bet. Kirsten and her husband are all over twitter alleging nefarious intent on the part of Danielle. Which in my humble opinion is wrong. But the question not being asked or discussed is that Kirsten is allegedly in the Military. While I appreciate her service and the service of all service women and men. I pray that she is not in a position that makes decisions. She decided to bet 2K on Lily to beat in Jamie in a mile race. Jamie disclosed she was a high school long distance runner and although Lily is very pretty and fun to watch at the table, she is a women of short statute with a very large chest. She had no shot in this race and anyone willing to bet on her straight up without odds or a price is crazy.

I saw some of the tweets a couple of hours ago, but am re-watching a "Morgantown mini casino" hearing atm. I don't really understand the whole dispute. Here are some of the related tweets, but there are many more.

Cliffs:

* On a televised poker game, Lily and Jamie bet $1k on a 1-mile race. They later upped this to $5k. Two months to train.

* Danielle separately booked a $2k bet with Kirsten, taking Jamie's side.

* Both bets had an injury clause, stating that an injured party will automatically lose if unable to compete.

* Lily got hurt. Jamie could have invoked the injury clause and collected her money right then, but decided to give Lily a few months to recover.

* The new date comes, and Jamie easily wins. Lily quits after getting lapped, and pays Jamie on the spot

* Kirsten refuses to pay Danielle because the date got moved. For some reason she feels that this voids the bet.

* Jamie reveals DMs showing that Kirsten acknowledged that the bet was still on the day of the race!

* A bunch of people, particularly Kirsten and her husband, proceed to say vile things on Twitter.

Does not compute. It sounds like Kirsten lost the bet twice.

Just to clarify:
- A female with short legs and big boobs wagered money to beat somebody who looks like a runner in a one mile race?
- A third party decided to bet at even odds that said female would win the race?

How is stuff like that even possible? Did somebody plan to pull a Tonya Harding but backed out last minute?

Not sure why OP thinks it's never ending. It ended before the OP was written.

Bill Perkins arbitrated and ruled in favour of Danielle Anderson (not Moon) for $1500.

See Bill's Twitter for the ruling detail, including the acceptance from both parties.

Bill was never an official arbitrator, he's just being sanctimonious. He volunteered this long "ruling" when nobody asked and expressed how gravely disappointed he was in everyone for being critical of Kirsten.

Official or not, they both accepted his ruling.

Glad to see Danielle will be receiving her money. Not sure what’s more embarrassing, Kristen trying to welch or her husband pulling the race/sex card for no apparent reason. Pathetic.

Dude ever time I read something like this (a dispute over 2k) or one about someone else owing 10k and not being able to pay for months on end I question how much money some of these 'high stakes' players have to their names. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by people being degens at any level of poker it just seems so odd to have public disputes over what should be nominal amounts of money

Why would anyone feel the need to ask or discuss this?

I've noticed that military veterans tend to be poor poker players, at least at lower stakes.

Because clearly she has poor decision making skills. How can she interpret the rules of engagement if she can't process an even money race where one participant gets lapped. It's not like she took a flyer on a long shot for a gamble.

Of all the strange twists and turns this thread could take, I never would have guessed that someone would fixate on the military service of one of the bettors!

Is this post satire?

"Why would anyone discuss this? ... controversial statement about the thing we are complaining about discussing"

there are many levels to the military. At the bottom level they give you a gun, tell you to go toward the noise and kill everyone not dressed the same as you.

ex: Mike Tyson fight strategy. Get in the ring find the guy in the tuxedo beat the hell out of the other guy.

Reminds me of a classic Richard Pryor bit about George Foreman. "George has a unique boxing style: none. 'Which one's the referee? 'Cause I'm gonna kill the other M-fer."

Meanwhile, the bet between DMoon and Kirsten reminds me of the explanation of the synthetic CDO from the movie The Big Short:

The way she snap accepted paying $1500 reveals she knew she owed the money.
