he's in love
One might think that being in love was maybe a prerequisite of getting married.

Real truth is, Daniel just like many other big time pros, is scared to play live, specially in bigger games in Vagas, cause Bob Stupak is crushing those games. Bob is on helluva run, and looks unstoppable!

leaving las vegas would be classed as a posotive step, get out while your still sane
I live in las vegas and love it (although I travel a lot). I thin the real problem is living in las vegas AND being a pro poker player. Now that is a recipe for disaster ill agree
I'm placing my money on leaving Las Vegas being the announcement. If the big game is no longer running regularly there is less need for him to stay. He could move back to Toronto and be with his friends / watch more hockey. Or he could do what Liz Lieu did and move to London where at least gambling income is tax-free. PokerStars sponsors the EPT and are clearly making a real effort to send their pros to EPT events and promote poker in Europe.

Just moving to London as a USA resident doesn't exempt you from taxes.

He's Canadian. He doesn't owe US taxes from earnings outside the US.

Maybe his big announcement is that he's going to actually start playing some games at PokerStars. I never see him online :-/
DN is too busy playing street hockey with Tuam Lam.

I did an interview with Patrik Antonius at the EPT in London. I asked him about he and his family moving to Monte Carlo. He told that the big game was allmost dead and that wasnt a reason anymore to stay there.

He's a resident of the US, he owes taxes on everything.

He wouldn't be a resident of the US if he moved to London.

Being a resident does not mean he's a citizen. If he were a US citizen he would be responsible for some income tax if he moved out of the US, but because he's not a US citizen once he leaves he can flip the bird to the IRS and not owe them a dime.
