what can a guy say really ,i mean it is what it is.... i offered to go on his little vid shoots to add credibility to his contrived brand for his betterment not mine and he initially accepted but his sponsers convinced him to stay away from me so in my opinion hes a bit fake maybe alot fake but in no ways in my mind is he a real pro-poker player more or less a corpate politically correct cut-out ,guys in my ilk are not him.

It's Daniel Negreanu and there is an award show, of course he has to win something. I mean, poker would be nothing without him. GPI player of the year? No, he is only ranked 82nd on the GPI and hasn't won anything since 2013. Media person of the year? He just did the GPL broadcast a hour ago, is it too late to write him in? Vegan poker player of the year? Maybe, luckychewy might have him though.

I've got it. Poker "Moment" of the Year. Remember when he lost an all in on a standard spot and fell on the floor like a 2 year old throwing a temper tantrum? Yeah, that was a real moment. Let's give him an award for that.

To be fair, I think it's a fairly justified win.
The anticipation around the final two tables was massive. All eyes were on Daniel and the chance of having one of the biggest names in poker make the final table.
The fact that he got so close made it quite a memorable moment.

The real problem is that they even have an award for the best poker moment.
You have to bear in mind the idea came from the same guy who thought the GPL would be a great idea and then proceeded to have the two most recognisable poker players in the world (to non-poker players) in the commentary booth and not actually part of the draft.
