Maybe it's me, but the algorithm that Hendon Mob are using seems to be working pretty poorly for GPI rankings:

Something, one, more or many things within the algorithm they are using, is I suspect poorly thought out.

They very likely are using an illogical points time decay method and may have the actual weightings of buy in / runners / degree of difficulty set up badly,
that's if they are even accounting for all three of those things.

Does anyone have a link to the algorithm please?

Before knowing about Ali Imsirovic’s transgressions I thought he was a lifer who loved the game and would be a tournament fixture for a long time.

I’m hearing that he is continuing his antics and is likely irredeemable at this point

All operators both online and live should proactively ban him indefinitely

He is the opposite of remorseful and is actual boastful, bragging about robbing former friends

Poker full of hypocrites and people with double standards.

Both DNegs and JKoon are ambassadors for GG poker, with Koon also being on the PIC, the same GG poker that Bryn Kenney alleged in detail, that encouraged him or allowed him to act as the money mover of high stakes cash game players into their cash games while at the same time breaking their own terms of service by using VPNs. GG poker's play money app, Club GG, is also openly being advertised by some well known players as being used for real money games, the same type of games, app games, that Imsirovic is rumored to be cheating in.

And we currently have JKoon and other fine upstanding poker citizens, lol, playing in the Triton series, and who is also playing, that's right, Phil Nagy head of ACR and some of his sponsored pros, the same ACR that rumor has it that Imsirovic is multi accounting on and using RTA on. Another player calling for Imsirovic's head is Mr pump/slide cards towards the muck, fake mucking motion, himself, Chance Kornuth.

So in the poker world these players with big voices cherry pick what is right or wrong and will do business with players or companies who are involved in some of the cherry picked what is wrong, if it suits them.

All of them are low or lowish level people in terms of their ethics but they think of themselves as high level because they are comparing themselves to players of even lower ethics. A car thief probably thinks a bank robber is a bad person and a bank robber thinks a hit man is a bad person.

Ali seems like a d bag and very likely he did cheat but don't agree with calls to ban him both online and live. Especially with comments such as "I'm hearing"

Each individual operator should just decide for himself based upon the evidence they have.

Let's say DNegs disliked the OP MJ_Sydney_Aussie, and therefore could just say "I'm hearing MJ Sydney is a cheater, I call for him to be banned everywhere."

There are solutions to someone robbing people and running their mouth. But they don't include crying and posting PIO sims on twitter, clapping when they get knocked out of a tournament, or calling for them to get banned.

Problem is, Phil Ivey didn't cheat. He used a printing error to gain a statistical advantage. The flaw was known by casino management and they did nothing to fix the flaw.

I've yet to really comb Twitter as of late, but I guess DNegs has been dragged/jumped into the Polk/Berkey/Charlie battle. I did read the 'apology' from Phil Galfond regarding his inaction of poker topics in the past due to trying to remain 'nice' and neutral .. interesting read. GL

Daniel jumped in voluntarily when he was on Charlies twitter space saying how tough it was for him when his name was being made fun of constantly over the "more rake is better" fiasco.

DNegs cruises to a pretty easy win in the Phase I $50K HS Duel on PGo last night. Although 'hands won' was fairly even, maybe 60-40 in DNegs favor, all the bigger pots headed his way. I didn't watch the whole thing but the chit chat along the way was very good to listen to. No word on if a rematch will happen .. GL

He said on his twitter that there will be no re match so the challenge is open.
