DJango was a terrible movie on so many levels. i guess if you're a millenial and havent seen a movie before 2010, you might think its the best thing ever.

Or if you're way too old to be a millenial and have seen hundreds (thousands?) of movies before 2010, you might still get a lot of enjoyment out of it without it being close to the best thing ever.

I reject Daniel's cartoon vision of the United States electorate but I've been a fan for years and continue to be. I think he's a great poker player. I'm also a fan of both old and new films, and I can completely get how someone wouldn't like Django. If you're looking for great social commentary, it's certainly the weakest of those films, at least the 4 that I saw (made an error - I own but haven't yet watched 12 years), and it's pretty tough to directly compare it to films like Mississippi Burning or American History X (loved them both). But I still found it very entertaining. Also, it's the one I've seen most recently, and given my memory, my judgement may be coloured by that.

Oh yeah, I get it - that was meant to be a throwaway description; my point was I didn't want to derail further from whatever we consider this thread to normally be.

Apparently Daniel wired $50k to SHRPO and when he got there they didnt release the money and he couldnt register for the event.

I don't get it though. Did the series just rob him off $50.000? Or did he eventually get his money back but failed to enter the tournament?

Apparently, he wired $100,000 without his name as the account holder which, apparently, is not good enough to transfer to an individual at the receiving end.

He was refused the money, at which point, the crybaby threw a temper tantrum, and he said that he was not going to participate in the tournament, and that he would never go back to that casino.

To be fair, the casino should have tried to sort it for him. There was a time a high profile player meant something...nowadays they treat everyone as a degen.
