DN was a way better player when he was chatty and getting tells from people than he is now. All he does is push his glasses up the bridge of his nose and tries to look like a thinking GTO player.

I been thinking about this for a while. I was trying to find the words. An announcement this epic could be ruined with the wrong choice of words.

It all started about 7 months ago. I was watching him play and seen him push his glasses up the bridge of his nose in silence and squint his eyebrows as he was being value bet.

Then he raised as a bluff.

I says to myself "Why doesn't Danny Negreanu do what he used to and say the guy's range out loud to him like he used to?" Then the player smiles and gives it away and Danny folds (or pays to see so he knows if he can trust his read).

I then said "man this really really really needs to be said and I'm just the person to do it."

I then signed up for public speaking at the local community college. I paid $399 for a 20 hour class.

I watched more of Daniel's hands. I studies him as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose.

I watched it in 0.25x speed, 2x speed. I watched it with and without my shirt on. I watched before and after using the bathroom.

Today I finally realized this is the day to ****ing nail it.

To grind up from micros to highstakes online, Doug could, Dwan unlikely, the rest no way. In live poker they all could if they run good enough.

I started listening to some of the DAT Poker Podcasts with Adam, Terence Chan and DNegs. The first one I listened to was from September 2018 and DNegs was about to go on a date with some hot girl he met that was from Nashville.

The next one I listened to was from December 2018 and he was now engaged to Amanda Leatherman. That was some quick engagement!

The next one I listened to was from March 2019 and he was saying they were planning to adopt two kids from a 3rd world country.

I agree that they probably don't stand much of a chance (like most marriages/relationships) but they were dating a long time ago, so it's not like they just got insta engaged...

Could they grind out a living on bot infested sites? Maybe. Could they grind out a living as 'rounders' in Joe Schmoe cash games? Definitely.

I'm following the Andrew Neeme/Brad Owen vlogs - particularly the 1/3 and 2/5 meetup games. They seem soft enough for someone of Helmuth/Negreanu/Polk/Dwan's caliber.

...and then there's also the "old guard" to play against. I.e. games they can get into where they know the people and the way these play well enough to turn a profit.

You don't have to be the best to make a living. You don't even have to be the best at the table. You just have to be better than some at the table and know who they are.

Dude, have you tried going vegan? You don't do this just to brag once a month. Going full vegan when you actually like meat is hard.

(I have a quirk that I skip out on something each year as a new years resolution - just for the year. Sometimes it's something inane like coffee or ketchup or soft drinks, but this year I'm doing the vegetarian thing (not even vegan). Even with one cheat day a month this has been the toughest thing to stick to. By far.)

This has probably been adressed a million times over the years but I was rewatching old HSP episodes on youtube and I was again shocked at what a petty, passive agressive pathetic man he is. The way he treated someone like Matusow at the table, even though the man is headache most of the time, was so cringe inducing. And his constant mocking of the accent of an asian player at the table made my skin crawl, like the most unfunny thing ive ever watched, he has absolutely 0 self awareness. I was shocked at myself what pleasure I got from watching him constantly get outdrawn on and then make horrible river calls to the point of a mental breakdown when Erick Lindgren put him allin with his quads against his flopped straight. Magnificent.

I didnt mind any of this. Matusow deserved the treatment he got. DNegs and Eli are the 2 biggest colluders in TV poker history however and this should never be forgotten.
