Confirmed DN has a big ego, likes to hear himself talk, says things he shouldn't and apparently isn't a trump fan.

Sounds like he is quite aware of all of this. I don't know him at all but most of the successful people I've met have the same qualities ( politics aside). Good for you if you don't like him and post about it. You have every right. Just like he has every right to voice his opinion. Part of his success is he is willing to speak out while others won't ( right or wrong). He uses his celebrity as a forum speak about what he believes in. I would hope the rest of us would do the same. I respect a person for speaking up even if I disagree much more than a Michael Jordan who says "republicans buy shoes too" (not sure he said this but was attributed to him). Now all of you Trump supporters actually have a reason to dislike him ( which I'm sure you already had) Imagine if he just played poker you might actually be rooting for someone who didn't agree with your politics. I just wish we could get our politicians to wear patches on their clothes of all of their financial supporters so we would really know who to vote for.

Personally I've always enjoyed watching him at the table especially on hi stakes poker. He is one of the people that made me want to play and learn about it.

Well that happens when discussing politics one person is equally stout in their stance as the other and things can get heated real quick.

Everyone now sees the humble broke and crippled MOUTH when he was on tv all the time in his glory days he was one of the biggest d-bags around bigger than hellmuth by a long shot and that was at 30 minute intervals.

I cant imagine how the mouth behaved off camera so im sure dneg has his reasons, not that I care anyways, but I don't see how people are up in arms that a poker player said something rude.

When I first got into poker back in 2009/2010 or so I was a big Daniel fan, he seemed like a generally nice and easy going guy and still seems like he could be.

But man, what a smug egotistical little D-bag, just so full of himself. I remember a post he made a couple years ago maybe on how he was at a final table of a high roller event he was going on about how he was in discussions with his fellow players on how they could improve the world...lol.

But to be honest the entire poker community kind of seems to be smug *******s it just their thing... letting their D-list celebrity status get to them.

I think that has to do with the fact they have money, don't have a real job so they are disconnected from reality and they have a platform to stand on and talk. They aren't actually committed to selfless service, they think that just by playing a SHR and talking about world hunger will actually solve world hunger. Instead of leading with their mouths, they should lead by example.

Yeah, it is to be expected.

In Daniel's case anyway I believe he himself said he has never had what you could call a "real job" even as a teenanger in fast food or retail.

But really is just a part of the culture I think, even from the low stakes casino grinders... but that could just get more wannabish

Met Daniel at EPT Monte Carlo back in 2008 or 2009 can't remember, he was really nice to everyone from what I saw and I had a brief conversation with him. Seemed like a good guy.

Why didn't dnegs come back to WSOPc Global Player Championship at Cherokee.

I mean he final tabled it last year , and its for a WSOP bracelet, probably a million dollar freeroll for him with only 150 players, and nationally televised final table in the fall on prime time ESPN . That's a nice spot for anyone .

Aside from the equity stuff, you'd think he'd at least come out and support th WSOP Global Championship .

Man that's the exact same sense I get every I see/watch/hear him. It's like he's REALLY, REALLY happy with himself, and he wants to make sure you know it. He feels compelled to share it. Maybe that's a purposeful strategy for tilting people? I dunnow. It works on me at least.

I've always been a fan although the past couple years he seems both over-amped when he does commentary and forced when he's playing and chatting it up.
