Well, for one, Hellmuth winning his 14th bracelet. Whether or not you like Hellmuth, his 14th bracelet would seem to be a bigger deal than an 11th place finish

Nominations were:

Anthony Zinno goes back-to-back winning WPT Fallsview, WPT L.A. Poker Classic

Again, not sure why it was nominated, seeing as there was already an award for best tournament (under $2000). How can a 5 day tournament be classed as a 'moment'?

Hellmuth winning another bracelet isn't such a memorable moment. It was when he moved clear from Doyle and Chan, but not now. 14 isn't a landmark number. 20 maybe..

Sounds like 2015 was an awful year for memorable poker moments. If Daniel missing a final table was the best thing that happened we might as well pack up and head home.

It looks like all these moments were a bit of an awkward fit to the category - DNegs' too, because what makes his bust out noteworthy is the fact that it's happening to him. So it does kind of wind up being an award for him being poker's biggest ambassador.

Overall I think Daniel finishing 11th was the best option to go with out of the available nominees. However that isn't saying much.

Anyone forget about Angela Jordinson? She won the first three events of a poker series in Oregon last year. Obviously she's not a household name so she'd never be nominated but I believe that was an amazing accomplishment.
