And the theme of the vlog is that he's playing some "Gangsta PLO", i.e bluffing a lot and giving himself the chance to do so by playing a wide range of hands in position so that his opponents are kept guessing.
It's a pretty reasonable strat in PLO MTTs when executed well and thoughtfully, selectively, so it will make him a threat in a PLO comp.
But IMO he is still quite susceptible to making the occasional big error against opponents with a higher level of PLO technical strategy know how, and if and when stacks get to <35BBs him not playing optimally pre-flop, which a big part of is calculating yours/your opponents likely SPRs OTF, could be quite exploitable against better opponents.
Unlike the YouTube comments, which are predominantly from die hard fanboys/fangirls and sycophants, here on twoplustwo we hold him, or any player for that matter, more accountable.
And in the day 1 vlog of this $10K PLO he did proclaim "I am really, really good at this game (PLO)", having got a few questionable bluffs through, when just from that one vlog it doesn't appear that he is really, really good at PLO MTTs.
Anyone else notice that he often refers to the comments on YouTube but never refers to the comments on twoplustwo. I wonder why!!
