Not sure what you want to wait for in that field
Daniel played meh, the punt early on with pair of 8s he didn't show but talked about, weird ass line where he donked 3way
And the A7 punt where he played by feeling and picked a not so great combo (doesn't block spades, has too many 7x and weaker hands to bluff that size and A is not really relevant besides actually having more showdown value in the checking part of range)
I'd be very surprised even If you do play with limp raise strategy that a t7s wouldn't be mixed in the jam range? Don't play Sng though
I think there is more to it than plain +EV is +EV.
There is 8% juice to overcome so one should be striving for better edge plays than this otherwise you shouldn't really be in the comp other than as a deliberate punt.
Also where do DNegs edges against this type of field and many of the players in it really lie?
I would say that some of his edge is in his experience, stamina, good rest and sensible sleep schedules, home field advantage, live tells, and general will power and determination to win and to get the maximum out of himself. Sure, many of the rest of the field have many of these qualities too, but IMO he scores higher than most of them in most of these categories.
So even if he was in complete and calm control of this play, it is still the wrong play as he is potentially sacrificing some of the edges above in exchange for a very small edge in that spot.
